  25. WHAT THIS PROGRAM WILL DO
  26.  
  27.   Very simple.  This program will just patch the original Maximus/2*
  28.   2.02 executable so that it can handle character sets which use what is
  29.   called SoftCR, 8D hexadecimal, say, Microsoft* Kanji code (Shift-JIS),
  30.   UNIX* JIS (JEUC), Korean, etc.  In short, this program will only
  31.   disable the SoftCR function in Maximus/2* 2.02.

  34. REQUIREMENTS

  36.   To use this program, the following things will be required.

  38.     Maximus/2* 2.02 executable
  39.     Microsoft* DOS or equivalent
  40.     IBM* PC or compatible with quite a little memory and disk space
  41.

  43. HOW TO USE
  44.  
  45.   Also very simple.
  46.  
  47.     1.  Make a directory and copy both the original Maximus/2* 2.02
  48.         executable, MAXP.EXE, and the patch program, MAXPA202.COM, into
  49.         it.
  50.     2.  Run MAXPA202.COM. (just don't forget to change directory!)
  51.     3.  That's all.<g>
