; MaxCID v0.3ß
;
; Maximus Caller ID Login, (C)opyright, 1994, Louis LePage
; The Woodbine/2 BBS, 1-519-254-2023, Windsor, ON, Canada
;
;
; NOTE: This is a Beta, and you are HIGHLY encouraged to make
; any requests for future updates of this software. Please
; contact the programmer listed below, preferably at the BBS
; platform of communication.
;
; All comments begin with a ';' on a newline. Keywords are now
; case insensitive. All lines are restricted to less than 255
; character. You may hack this config file away and only leave
; the command lines if so desired. ;-)
; Oh, maxcid is non-specific to the order of the keywords.
;
; Please read the maxcid.doc for more information or contact the
; programmer as noted below.
;
;
; ┌──────────┐
;───────────────────────────┤ Keywords ├─────────────────────────────────
; └──────────┘
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This keyword indicates the name of the System Operator. This will be
; used in calculating the registration number. Thus, this is case
; sensitive and must be enclosed by quotes.
;
SysOp "SysOp Name"
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;

; *** You are PREFERRED to obtain this online, at the Woodbine/2 BBS ***
; *** Please read the Installation section of MaxCID.doc for more ***
; *** information on registering. ***
; **********************************************************************
; The following keyword indicates your registration number. This must
; be enclosed by quotes. Please note that this is case sensitive.
;
Registration "Unregistered"
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword indicates the file name and path which points
; to the name of log file created by the front end mailer. This is where
; the phone number has been logged.
;
LogFile C:\Binkley\binkley.log
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword indicates the file name and path which points
; to the name of log file created by MaxCID. This is where all the user
; names and phone numbers will be logged. The time and date are logged
; as well.
;
MaxCIDLog C:\Maxcid\maxcid.log
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword points to the path and filename of the list of phone
; numbers which MaxCID will use for Caller Screen and Alias Numbers. The
; first character indicates if incoming number is to be screened out (-) or
; accepted (+). The first phone number is the number corresponding to the
; phone number located in the user.bbs file. For alias phone numbers, if the
; number found in the log file matches a number found after the first phone
; number, then MaxCID will search the user.bbs file for the first phone number
; and then determine the callers information for login. A ';' character
; signifies that the remainder of the line is a comment. The country code
; and area code are stripped if they match the local country/area code below.
;
; Examples:
; ┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
; │; ┌─────> This number is in user.bbs ┌─> these are alias numbers │
; │; ┌─────┴─────┐ ┌───────────────────────────┴─────┐ │
; │+ (555)555-1212 555-7912 1(555)555-1234 999-555-222; This user calls from │
; │; └───────────┘ └─────────────────────────────────┘; many locations │
; │; │
; │- 555-5678 ; Real loser (Note: when blocking a call, only one number is │
; │; ; necessary. A list of unrelated numbers may be used as well. │
; │; │
; │- (555)555-1234 555-555-0000 19875551234; All these numbers are blocked │
; │; │
; │+ (555)555-3333; This is useless but acceptable. │
; └──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
;
PhoneList C:\Maxcid\maxcid.fon
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The next keyword indicates if the phone list will be forced or not.
; When in forced mode, only phone numbers which appear in the phone
; list may be accepted. All other numbers are blocked out. This is
; ideal for running a private system, in which you don't want to have
; unauthorized applicants. This can also be used for external mailers
; or external fax receive programs to accept only particular numbers.
;
ForceList No
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The next keyword indicated the string in which will precede the
; phone number in the front end mailer log file. This string
; must be enclosed in quotation marks. Note: This string is case
; sensitive and must be 3 or more characters in length.
;
CID_String "Caller Number: "
;CID_String "Mesg = "
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The next command determines if the hex method will be used to extract
; the phone number. If set to 'No', a standard text phone number is
; expected to follow CID_STRING. If set to 'Yes', the following format
; will be used to determine the calling number.
;
; Example:
;
; [No]
; Caller Number: 5551212
;
; [Yes]
; Mesg = 030B3135313932353432303233
; \/\/\____________________/
; | | |___________/ The Calling number in hexadecimal
; | |_________________________/ The number of hex digits to follow
; |___________________________/ The memory storage location (modem)
;
Hex_Enable No
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword indicates the string that will be recognized
; when a user is calling from a private number. If this string is found,
; the scanning of the user.bbs will be aborted. If you are using the
; HEX_ENABLE, then the PRIVATE string will be scanned for at the same
; time as the CID_STRING. This will allow the private string to be
; detected without being preceeded by the CID_STRING.
;
Private Privacy
; Private Nmbr = P
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword indicates the string that will be recognized
; when a user is calling from an area which does not have Caller ID
; capabilities. This will prevent the user.bbs file from being scanned
; for a matching phone number, and will speed things up.
;
Out_Of_Area Out-Of-Area
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following keyword specifies if a user is allowed to call from a
; private phone number or not. When set to 'Yes', a normal, manual
; login sequence will commence. When set to 'No', the LOAD_BBS line will
; not be added to the BATCH file. This will prevent the BBS from loading
; and the front-end mail processor will resume control (or the batch
; file which called maxcid).
;
Allow_Private No
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The next keyword indicates the number of lines which will be
; scanned when searching for the CID_STRING. This MUST be tested
; out on your system for an accurate figure. Depending on which
; software logs your CID info and the depth at which logging takes
; place, the location of the CID_STRING may vary. The easiest way
; to determine the value is by looking at the log file, just after
; someone logs on, yet before they log off. Whichever way you figure
; this value out, no more than MAX_BACK lines will be scanned from
; the end of the file.
;
Max_Back 3
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The next option is the path and filename describing the location of
; the 'user.bbs' file. This is where the phone number found in the
; front end log file will compare and search for users who have
; the same phone number.
;
User_BBS C:\Max\user.bbs
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following function allows the CID program to strip the country
; code out of the phone number. Any phone number found, both in the
; user.bbs and in the log file will have the country code stripped.
; This allows for better detection of the phone number.
;
Country_Code 1
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; The following function allows the CID program to strip the area
; code out of the phone number. Any phone number found, both in the
; user.bbs and in the log file will have the area code stripped.
; This provides the most accurate detection of the phone number.
;
Area_Code 519
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This next command is the line that normally invokes your bbs software.
; When using Binkley in spawnbbs mode, paramaters can be sent to the
; spawnbbs batch file, and can then be passed to the batch file that
; MaxCID creates. This line will be written to a seperate file which
; is called by your spawnbbs batch file.
;
Load_BBS maxp.exe -b%2 -p%3 -t%4 -s%1 -n1
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This is the name of the batch file to which the LOAD_BBS line will
; be written to. When using the spawnbbs method, you can pass the
; paramaters to this batch.
;
; Example:
;
; SpawnBBS.cmd: C:
; cd \binkley
; maxcid.exe maxcid.cfg
; call bbs.cmd %1 %2 %3 %4
; goto afterbbs
;
Batch C:\Binkley\bbs.cmd
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This next keyword determines whether or not MaxCID will automatically
; key in the users name. This is done by appending the "-jUser Name" to
; the LOAD_BBS line. Some systems may wish to use MaxCID only for
; displaying the caller number information by use of the OUTPUT keyword.
; The default is Yes
;
Autologin On
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This next keyword allows for a user to take advantage of the fully
; automatic login procedure. This will effectively append the
; "-jUser Name;Y;password" to the LOAD_BBS line. When the user.bbs file
; is scanned, the first user found matching the phone number will be
; used for the autologin. If more than one user have the same phone
; number, then the autopassword login sequence will be aborted.
;
AutoPassword On
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This next keyword allows a user to toggle the AutoPassword login
; sequence. The first character of the password will be compared to the
; PW_KeyToggle. If they match (case sensitive) then the operation of the
; AutoPassword keyword will act in the opposite manner. This may be
; overrided to force the AutoPassword operation by leaving the key blank.
; (The '!' character is recommended to conform to a standard, but any
; printable ascii character is valid).
;
; Examples:
;
; "APW_KeyToggle " This forces the AutoPassword operation.
;
; "APW_KetToggle !" If the first character of the users password
; is a '!' and AutoPassword is Off, then the
; AutoPassword will be toggled to On. The
; converse also holds true.
;
APW_KeyToggle !
;
;
; ─────────────────────────
;
; This keyword designates the name of the file that the phone number,
; which was scanned directly from the LOGFILE, is written to.
;
