Here's some help about how you can use RexFix to change your connection
details.
All you need to do is write a message to 'RexFix' and tell Rex what to do.
Example:
Msg : 17 of 26
From : Charles Cruden 1:342/820 Thu 07 Apr 98 03:24
To : RexFix 1:342/806
Subj : PASSWORD <- Your password
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
%PAUSE <- Have Rex stop sending you mail for now.
Useful if you're going on vacation.
%RESUME <- Tells Rex to resume sending you mail after
issuing a PAUSE.
%STATUS <- Rex sends you a note telling you about the
way your connection is setup at this end.
%EMAIL cruden@cs.ualberta.ca <- Change the email address to send your mail
to to this address. (Only applies to email
nodes.)
%TRANSPORT SEAT <- Change to this email transport when sending
mail. (Only applies to email nodes.) Valid
choices are NONE, SEAT, FIDS, ALLFIX or
TRANSX.
%ENCODING MIME <- Change the encoding to use when sending
mail to this encoding. (Only applies to
email nodes.) Valid choices are UUENCODE,
MIME, BASE64 (same as MIME), XXENCODE or
TRANSX.
%SUBJECT My net's mail <- Change the subject line used when sending
files through email.
%SITE xanadu.v-wave.com <- Change the site to connect to. (Only
applies to FTP or BinkP nodes.)
%HELP <- Sends you this help file.
%PASSWORD Carrot <- Change your RexFix password to the one you
gave.
You can also send RexFix messages over email.
Example:
