  3. Learned how to use ansi without putting non-printable
  4. characters in the source. Thanks Mike Bilow!
  5. Also thanks goes to Mike for the truncating technique
  6. which removes the need for Rexxlib.
  7. Rexxlib is still required if you use the hangup/watchdog
  8. function though.
  9. Few other tweeks here and there from day to day use
  10. and abuse.
  11. Been using FtpFido now for 8 months straight with
  12. no major problems and no mail lost.
  13. Checking my logs, thats roughly 2700 megs of mail/files.

  15. One known bug: Sometimes Ftpfido forgets that rxftp
  16. is loaded and error 43's with "function not found"
  17. when a rxftp function call is made.

  21. Added more colors and learned some new screen write tricks.
  22. Added display of PID # and Begin time.
  23. Added a time display that updates whenever it can.
  24. Added an onscreen list of files to d/l which is
  25. limited by screen length to prevent scrolling display.
  26. Added a screenlength adjustment.
  27. See the global variable "scrnlgth"
  28. Changed timing to separate u/l and d/l times and bps.
  29. Timing is now much more accurate.
  30. Changed the call to hangup.cmd at the beginning of a
  31. session instead of session end and added some code to hangup.cmd to support it.
  32. Hangup now knows FTPFIDO's PID # in case it has to kill it
  33. due to a hung session.
  34. ie: no change in "ftpin" filecount in 30 min. time.
  35. Corrected a problem associated with PAONLINE and
  36. FTPFIDO trying to d/l "incoming".
  37. I noticed files were coming in in a random order so I included
  38. something to prevent moving files if a session is aborted.
  39. ie: .MO3 comes in before .MO1. If tossed w/o getting
  40. all the files, mail tossed out of order.
  41. Also prevents tics w/o files or vice versa.

  45. FD mode is now built-in. See comments in ftpfid16.cmd

  50. RxFTP.ZIP -  dlls for use with FTPFIDO. Be sure to use RXFTP32.DLL
  51. for OS/2 2.x!!! Rename it to RxFtp.Dll and put in libpath.

  75. Forgot to add the bbslog.cmd and errlog.cmd which caused problems
  76. since they weren't included. Sorry folks!

  78. Now included are the files I use to logon via PPP and start
  79. all the stuff and then shut it all down when I'm thru.
  80. You will also need to get PPPDIAL and PPPKILL to
  81. complete the setup. I would've included them, but it
  82. might not be kosher with the authors and to keep size to
  83. a minimum. I have them here as PPDIAL27.ZIP and
  84. PPPKILL.ZIP.
  85. They are also on hobbes in /pub/os2/network/tcpip.

  87. I have written a version for a friend that works with
  88. a FD outbound, but he has to use a netmail packer
  89. for his netmail. If anyone wants a version, they can
  90. email me and I'll send it your way.
