You are currently reading a story, identified by the title
at the top of the red window. The story reader supports
the following keys (though not all will work at all times):
Q This key will get you out of the reader. If you
were editing a story, 'Q' will take you back to
the editor.
C If you aren't at the bottom of the story, 'C' will
take you down to the next screen. You can use the
Enter key and the Down Arrow as substitutes.
P If you aren't at the beginning of the story, 'P'
will take you up to the previous screen. You can
use the Up Arrow key as a substitute for 'P'.
Tab If you were editing a story and switched temporarily
to the reader, this key will take you back. You can
also use the 'Q' key in that situation.
If the red window is blank and the only option on the line
at the bottom of the window is 'Q', that probably means that
the story was blank or could not be found.
Several "hot keys" will work at just about any time while
you are in Fiction Factory.
Ctrl-Z Brings up help. As much as possible, FictFact will
tailor the help it provides to what you're doing
at the time, so if you're confused, give it a try!
Ctrl-O Lists the people (if any) who are in the game on
other nodes. You may want to send those people
messages, to chat with them, or to work on a story
together so that you can take turns adding to the tale.
Ctrl-E Allows you to enter a one-line message to a user on
another node.
Ctrl-T Allows you to enter chat mode. From there, you can
/PAGE people on other nodes to chat with you.
