  1. You have chosen to add to a password-protected story.  Users
  2. assign passwords to stories so that they can limit who may
  3. add to the story -- in case, for instance, they have a plan
  4. for the story and don't want newcomers to interfere with the
  5. plan.  Without the password, you may read the story, but you
  6. may not contribute to it.

  8. If you didn't create the story yourself and the creator of the
  9. story hasn't given you the password, the most polite thing to
  10. do is to hit {Enter} at the "Type Password or Enter to Abort"
  11. prompt -- trying to "steal" a story from someone by guessing
  12. the password is rude.

  14. If you'd like to be able to add to the story and you don't have
  15. access, the best way to get access is to read the story, take
  16. note of the name of the person who started it, and leave him/her
  17. a message in the BBS message base asking for the password.

  19. Several "hot keys" will work at just about any time while
  20. you are in Fiction Factory.

  22. Ctrl-Z   Brings up help.  As much as possible, FictFact will
  23.          tailor the help it provides to what you're doing
  24.          at the time, so if you're confused, give it a try!

  26. Ctrl-O   Lists the people (if any) who are in the game on
  27.          other nodes.  You may want to send those people
  28.          messages, to chat with them, or to work on a story
  29.          together so that you can take turns adding to the tale.

  31. Ctrl-E   Allows you to enter a one-line message to a user on
  32.          another node.
  33.  
  34. Ctrl-T   Allows you to enter chat mode.  From there, you can
  35.          /PAGE people on other nodes to chat with you.
