Description/Instructions:
This is a drop-in replacement for the command 'Files' on your file
menu. To install this put the .VM file in your mex directory and add
this line in your menus.ctl and uncomment the old files command.
Mex M\Files Normal "File titles"
% File_Titles Normal "File titles"
Use at your own risk.
No tagging?
Upon discovering Maximus 3 didn't have file tagging built in, this is
the first thing I wrote, however I haven't had time to expand on it so
I've decided to release it for the hell of it. Not quite as fancy as
light bars but simple to use as most (if not all?) other BBS software
works this way.
It displays the size of files in Kb to make more room, it also removes
the []s around download counters. As users tag files it will also
display the total size & download time they've tagged so far.
It doesn't work?
There are a number of things which don't quite work the way I'd like
them to (some of which may not apply or bother some sysops), these
include:
- It doesn't support wildcard tagging, however it will allow you
to enter the entire name to tag a file.
- Only knows about download counters which use [] characters.
- No language control, colours not definable, format not definable.
