CDRMail is a freely distributed Freeware utility for Renegade BBS systems.
It requires Renegade 10-05-94 or higher.
Support for CDRMail is provided through the Fidonet Renegade echos. You may
also EMail me (the author) at cdgaefke@icubed.com.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CDRMail is the ultimate mail processing utility for Renegade! It completely
completely replaces the need for Renemail, as well as adding several
features that no other program for Renegade has! These include:
- Capable of importing messages, purging them, and scaning new
messages out in *ONE* pass.
- Reply links messages on the fly.
- Allows easy *Global* editing of your message base configuration.
- Has completely configurable inbound message filtering.
- Has a built in message base packer that can pack specific bases.
- Configurable random tagline adder to exported messages.
- Automatic "Smart" tossing of 1.MSG.
- Converts non-Renegade colour codes on the fly.
- Full netmail support, including kludge line support.
- JAM <-> .MSG conversion ready for the next Renegade.
- Does not garble echomail ANSI's.
- Fully FidoNet Technical Specification (FTSC) compliant.

All CDSOFT products are compressed in JAR archives because of JAR's absurd
compression ratio (up to twice that of ZIP!), and because JAR archives from
me can *NOT* be modified in any way. JAR will not permit it.
If you see this signature at the end of the archive:
Created by Charles D. Gaefke R:50002
You can be 100% certain it is the original file from my system.
To extract this archive you need the JAR archiver. You can download
JAR off of the InterNet at:
http://www.arjsoft.com/jar.htm
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you have JAR, you can extract the archive by typing:
jar e cdrm122o
After extracting the files, please read the documentation (CDRMAIL.DOC) in
its entirety. If you are upgrading from a prior version of CDRMAIL, you
may want to read the UPGRADE.TXT file.
After reading the documentation, rename the executable for your machine
to .EXE. For example, if you have a Pentium class computer, you would type
RENAME CDRMAIL2.586 CDRMAIL2.EXE
Then place the executable in the Renegade directory.
If you are planning on using CDRMAIL in replacement of Renemail, I suggest
you make the following changes to your batch files:
Renemail (Tossing): Renemail -t
Renemail (Deleting): Renemail -d
CDRMAIL (both): CDRMAIL2 TOSS DELETE
Renemail (scanning): Renemail -s
CDRMAIL (scanning) CDRMAIL2 SCAN
Please refer to CDRMAIL.DOC for details on how to optimize CDRMAIL for your
configuration.
Thank you for using CDRMAIL.
