  21. To list the files available for downloading from the current section,
  22. enter "F" and the sub-command that indicates the desired listing.  This
  23. command will display the names and types of the files and a brief
  24. description of each file, entered by the originating user.  If there are
  25. multiple up/download paths accessible from the section you are on, then
  26. the system will present you with a list of the directories and prompt
  27. you to select one.
  28.  
  29. Here is what the commands do for you:
  30.  
  31.    "FF"
  32.  
  33. This command will list each of the files in the selected directory
  34. FORWARD in alphabetical order.
  35.  
  36.    "FB"
  37.  
  38. This command allows you to list all files in the selected directory
  39. BACKWARDS by the date on which they were uploaded.  Files are displayed
  40. beginning with the most recently uploaded and ending with the first
  41. uploaded.
  42.  
  43.    "FS"
  44.  
  45. This command will search the file names and descriptions, within the
  46. selected directory, for a string and list only those entries matching
  47. the string.
  48.  
  49.    "FL"
  50.  
  51. This command will list only those files which have been uploaded to the
  52. selected directory since your LAST logon.
  53.  
  54.    "FG"
  55.  
  56. This command will search the file names and descriptions, across all
  57. directories for a specific string and will tell you what section and in
  58. what directory for that section the matching file is located.  If there
  59. are more than 2,000 files on the entire BBS, then "FG" searches only the
  60. current section, as it takes several days of connect time at 9,600 Baud
  61. to list all the files on many Bulletron(TM) systems.

  63.    "FC"
  64.  
  65. The "FC" command is similar to the "FG" command, in that it searches all
  66. directories on the current section, or all directories on all sections,
  67. but it only shows you files that have been added since your last logon.
  68.  
  69.    "FT"
  70.  
  71. File descriptions, sizes, dates and other information are stored in an
  72. indexed database for rapid retrieval.  The "FT" command shows you the
  73. TRUE disk directory instead of the database contents.  You may want to
  74. use this if you suspect that the operator of the system has added files
  75. to the disk through DOS commands, but has not yet updated the database
  76. with descriptions for those files.

  78.    "FQ"
  79.  
  80. This command displays a QUICK listing of just the file names (no size,
  81. date, or description) of the files in the selected directory.  This is
  82. similar to the DOS "DIR *.* /W" command.
  83.  
  84.    "FD"
  85.  
  86. This command allows you to list each of your personal files.  Personal
  87. files are generally transferred on the personal mail section and use the
  88. format "YOURACCT.@nn" As each file is displayed, the system asks you if
  89. you wish to DELETE the file.  This command is used to delete personal
  90. files, should you choose not to delete them immediately after they have
  91. been downloaded.

  93.    "FX"
  94.  
  95. This command lets you select the directory that will be used for uploads
  96. and downloads until the next time that you change sections.  It is not
  97. necessary to use this, because the upload or download command will ask
  98. you to indicate a directory if you have not selected one since changing
  99. sections.
