  1. Read the terms and conditions of this license agreement carefully before
  2. using the software. If you for any reason, whatsoever, cannot accept the
  3. conditions in this agreement, you are not permitted to use BBBS.

  5. BBBS is a proprietary product of Kim Heino and Tapani T. Salmi,
  6. hereafter "the authors", protected by applicable copyright laws and
  7. international treaty provisions.
  8.  
  9. BBBS is not, nor has ever been, public domain or free software. You must
  10. register after the 30-day evaluation period. If you decide to use this
  11. software, then you are under both legal and moral obligations to
  12. register it with the author. Registration entitles you continue using
  13. BBBS.

  15. In the event that you are in violation of this license agreement, you
  16. agree and accept that the authors may cancel your registration and any
  17. rights to use BBBS that you may have.
  18.  
  19. BBBS is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind or fitness for a
  20. particular purpose, either expressed or implied, all of which are hereby
  21. explicitly disclaimed. The authors only guarantees that BBBS will occupy
  22. disk space. The authors liability resulting from your use or inability
  23. to use BBBS is limited to the amount that the affected party has paid
  24. for it.

  26. The registered version of BBBS may not be duplicated other than for
  27. backup purposes. In a non registered version there is user's timelimit
  28. limited to 31 minutes. That limitation will be removed when registering
  29. the program.

  31. Some BBBS versions are distributed with object code files. These objects
  32. may only be used to rebuild (link) BBBS executables, all other uses are
  33. strictly forbidden.

  35. There are two versions of BBBS, with and without RSA crypting. BBBS with
  36. RSA may not be imported to some countries, especially the USA. Please
  37. check your local import laws first. The RSA library used is fully coded
  38. in Finland.
  39.  
  40. There are two different licenses for BBBS: COMMERCIAL and NONCOMMERCIAL.
  41. You may use NONCOMMERCIAL license only if your BBS is free for all users
  42. (new and old ones) and it is public for everybody to log in. You must
  43. use COMMERCIAL license if you use BBBS in a company for inner or
  44. external mail or file transfer purposes, or you run a support BBS for a
  45. company or it's products.

  47. One license for BBBS is valid only in one system, which may contain one
  48. or more computers physically connected to each other all the time via LAN,
  49. WAN or similar. You may not use one license in two physically separated
  50. systems, i.e. in two different offices of one company.

  54. The BBBS node license is divided in two; phone nodes and local nodes.
  55. A local node can not be used with modem or ISDN (or modem emulating
  56. driver), it can only be used for local/telnet/PIPE (LAN) connections.
  57. A phone node can be used for all purposes. The minimum is 2 phone nodes
  58. and 0 local nodes. See the table below for current prices and available
  59. node amounts.

  81. The change of the number of nodes or the license type will cost the
  82. difference * 1.1. Changes made within a week will be charged for
  83. difference only. I.e. if you want to upgrade from 2 phone node
  84. noncommercial license to 5 phone node commercial license, the price
  85. will be (1500-300)*1.1, 1320 FIM. Fill in new registeration form when
  86. you want to upgrade. When upgrading you can only increase your node
  87. amounts, you can not decrease them.
