  4. Thank you for you interest in Affinity BBS Software
  5.  
  6. At this time I have no documentation available.  This is just 
  7. a short list of known bugs and information.
  8.  
  9. - There is a bug in the "delete a rumor" portion of the software
  10. this will be fixed very shortly
  11.  
  12. - FidoNet compatible tosser will be available, or I will be changing to JAM
  13. mail system, if anyone has any information or demonstrations of the JAM message
  14. system please upload them to my board.
  15.  
  16. - OS/2 Native version in the near future.
  17.  
  18. - Multinode compatible Win/NT-Win3.1-Desqview-OS/2 timeslicing will be added
  19.  
  20. - Multinode chat 
  21.  
  22. - FILE_ID.DIZ support will be completed shortly.
  23.  
  24. - Has file testing support, definable protocols, and many configurable ansi's
  25.  
  26. - Ability to repair many of the commonly corupted data files in config.exe
  27.  
  28. - Definable message headers, File headers, email lists, bbs lists
  29.  
  30. - Will make customized versions for anyone who wants to register
  31.  
  32. - Free updates with registration
  33.  
  34. - "Guest" user working flawlessly as to the best of my knowledge
  35.  
  36. - ANSi gallery will be completely shortly, though it exists and works in this
  37. version it does need alot of work <g>

  39. - Timebank works flawlessly

  60. Appendix A: In order to use echomail, copy IMP-MAIL.EXE and IMP-MAIL.CFG into your affinity directory. Then copy your Affinity.Dat file to Status.dat.

  62. Appendix B: Strings are now external, except for six of them, after 
  63. installing edit STRINGS.TXT and then run STRCOMP.EXE, which will create
  64. STRINGS.DAT which will need to be moved to your data dir.  Strings can
  65. only take one line and are limited to 255chrs.

  67. Appendix C: File_ID.DIZ importing is now working atleast from the sysop
  68. local upload menu, if anyone encounters remote problems with it please
  69. leave me feedback on Phailed Utopia.  You can even leave me a note from
  70. the matrix.

  72. Appendix D: I've included a bulletin generator for Affinity, it is very
  73. rigid at this point, I hope to have time to make it use configurable ansi's
  74. by the time the next release is out.

  76. Appendix E: MSGHDR.ANS and RMSGHDR.ANS now have ASCii equivalents, I
  77. haven't had the time to make them for you, but you can take the initative
  78. it is very simple, text and then the mci code, remember you can only
  79. put one MCI on each line since there is no animation in ASCII.

  81. Note: The software does not run on a HPFS partition, I am not sure the
  82. exact problem it is something with purging the directories (temporary),
  83. if you run OS/2 run the software on a FAT partition, the data files can
  84. go on a HPFS drive if you think that will enhance performance.
