  53. % This file is sent out regularly in the Adept-Admin file area. The Adept_Admin
  54. % is a group of nodes who provide a file distribution service.  This list
  55. % contains information on all of the File Distribution Nets (FDNs) carried by
  56. % the Adept_Admin.

  63. % The following format is used to describe each of the File Distribution Nets.

  65. %     Kywd FileTag   Level Flags  Description

  67. %     Area XYZ_GIF   0     !      XYZ: GIF files for the XYZ program
  68. %
  69. %         "Area"  - Used by RAID and similar programs to
  70. %                   denote the beginning of an file area definition.
  71. %
  72. %         FileTag - Name of area that files will be sent under.  Similar to an
  73. %                   echomail areatag.
  74. %
  75. %         Level   - Security level (0-4096) used to protect this area
  76. %
  77. %         Flags   - Access flags (see below) to control who's allowed to feed,
  78. %                   and what type of echo it is.
  79. %
  80. %         Desc    - FDN abbreviation followed by a description of the area's
  81. %                   contents.
  82. %
  83. % There are five types of access flags:
  84. %
  85. %     "!" - Filebone distribution.  Areas marked with this flag are carried by
  86. %           the Filebone and can found at any Filebone Hub site (see below).
  87. %
  88. %     "." - Open distribution.  While unrestricted in nature, these areas are
  89. %           *NOT* distributed by the Filebone.  Although many Filebone Hubs do
  90. %            in fact carry them, you may be forced to find your own feed.
  91. %
  92. %     "*" - Hatching is allowed by *any* node attached to the area.  This flag
  93. %           may be mixed with any of the others.  If an area does not contain
  94. %           this flag, then you may not hatch directly into it.  There will
  95. %           either be a "return channel" provided or you must send your
  96. %           submission directly to the FDN head or other listed site.
  97. %
  98. %     "&" - Do not send this area to any downlinks.  This flag usually
  99. %           indicates that an area is a "return channel" to be used for
  100. %           submitting files to a FDN head for distribution.  Be sure to
  101. %           remove it in your TIC.CFG for your uplink *only*.  This flag
  102. %           should only be used in conjunction with the "*" flag.
  103. %
  104. % ( all  )  Restricted distribution.  These areas are privately distributed
  105. % (others)  and are *NOT* carried by the Filebone.  You must contact the FDN
  106. %           head to obtain a feed.
  107. %
  108. % This format is based on the TICK and RAID programs.  Indeed, you can directly
  109. % use this file as part of your RAID config file.  This file can also be used
  110. % by alternative TICK processors such as ALLFIX, as a list of availble echos to
  111. % downlinks, and for descriptions of the echos. For example, the following
  112. % DOS command could be used to create your new RAID.CFG file from the weekly
  113. % RGSNBONE.NA file along with prefix and suffix files (RAID.BEG and RAID.END)
  114. % containing your personal configuration information:
