  8. If you would like to view the output of this program before installation,
  9. I put together a quick .ans file to show an example of output.
  10. Type at the OS/2 prompt:

  12. [C:\TEMP] Type Example.Ans

  14. Quick 5 second docs to get you started on this Alpha version of
  15. AdeptXBBSCaller :

  18. ** If you are upgrading from an older version, read history.txt for
  19.    upgrade information.
  20.  
  21. 1. SHUT DOWN ADEPT. (If you don't, Adept won't recognise changes to your
  22.    Atend.Cmd file or main.menu (because it's cached by default)).
  23.  
  24. 2. Edit AdCaller.Cfg to your Correct Text Files Path/Directory and Animation
  25.    options/Avg Call Duration, the copy this file to your \ADEPT\MENUS directory.
  26.  
  27. 3. Edit The Path in AtStart.Cmd (the one included in this archive), to
  28.    reflect your drive letter, the \adept\temp path IS MANDATORY, if you
  29.    change it to another path, adeptxbbscaller won't work.  Also edit
  30.    Atend.Cmd to reflect your drive path too.  I could have made these
  31.    auto-detect, but it slows processing down having to check each time
  32.    it is run.

  34. 4. If you are already using a Atstart.Cmd and Atend.Cmd cut and paste the
  35.    example Atstart.Cmd and Atend.cmd to the ones you are using then copy
  36.    adcaller.erx and read.erx to \adept\menus
  37.  
  38. 5. Add Read.Erx to your Main.Menu file
  39.  
  40.    ie :
  41.    L,10  ,,Read.Erx,0
  42.  
  43. 6. Copy Callers.Cmd to a directory that is PATHed (ie \OS2) so it can
  44.    be accessed from anywhere.
  45.  
  46. 7. If you aren't using the APATH environment variable, set it like the
  47.    following : (In your Config.Sys)
  48.  
  49.    Set APATH = D:\Adept;D:\Adept\System;D:\Adept\Mailer;
  50.  
  51.    (Replace D: with the Drive letter Adept is installed on).

  56. encourage me to write some more, afterall we need all the utility programmers
  57. for adept we can get ;)
