  10. This program enables people who cannot access the Internet at home (Including UBI ONLINE), to add new tracks and cars to the retail
  11. version of POD. It will allow you to download new files and save them on disks, in order to transfert them to computers that do not have Internet connections.

  14. I. Installation of the program
  15. ------------------------------

  17. Simply copy the CDPatcher directory to your hard drive ,into the directory of your choice.

  20. II. Copy of the car and track files 
  21. ---------------------------------

  24.     1. Unzip the new tracks or cars files in the directory where        you have installed the "PODpatch" program. If you are using
  25.        pkunzip, please be sure to use the "-d" option to
  26.        extract the whole tree structure.

  28.     2. Double-click the "CDpatcher.exe" Icon.

  31. III. Adding new cars and tracks
  32. ---------------------------------------------

  34. There should be 3 main areas in the window :
  35.  
  36.     - the "Present Set Data" area is where the original
  37.       tracks or cars (depending on your selection) are
  38.       displayed.
  39.  
  40.     - the "New Proposed Data" area is where you can find a list of        the new cars or tracks that you have just unziped in the
  41.       directory.
  42.  
  43.     - the "Added Data" displays the additional files that you
  44.       have already installed, if any.        
  45.  
  46. To install a new car or track, 
  47.  
  48.     1. Select the file(s) in the "New Proposed Data" area.
  49.     2. Once your selection is complete, click the 
  50.        "PREPARE INSTALLATION" button. The list of the selected
  51.        file(s) appears in the "Added Data" area with the <.temp>
  52.        extension. 
  53.     3. Press the "INSTALL NEW DATA" button to install the new
  54.            files. The <inst> extension will now replace the <temp>
  55.            extension.
  56.     4. Close the "CDpatcher" program.
  57.     5. Launch POD.

  60. Notes :
  61.  
  62. - It is possible to delete an extra car or track by pressing
  63.   the "DELETE DATA" button.
  64.  
  65. - It is possible to have a preview of the car or track by selecting
  66.   it and pressing the "PREVIEW DATA" button.

  69. - Warning ! It is not possible to use the "CDpatcher" program to add
  70.  files downloaded via UBI ONLINE.
