  17.       OS/2 2.11 or later
  18.     Intel 486 compatable or higher based PC
  19.     8 MB Ram (16MB Recommended)

  25.     Installation:

  28.         To install the software, create a temporary directory, such as C:\TEMP, 
  29.         on your harddrive and unzip the contents of the zip files (OP152d-1.ZIP  
  30.         though OP152d-5.ZIP) into that  temporary directory.  Then run INSTALL.EXE
  31.         to install Object Desktop  Professional.  You will be required to enter a
  32.         License Code.  Use the License Code (aka Serial Number) that was 
  33.         provided with your order of Object Desktop Professional.  You may 
  34.         selectively install any component, or uninstall  components,  and you 
  35.         can specify the target directory.

  38.    Create/Install Diskettes:
  39.    ---------------------------------

  41.          To create diskettes simply unzip each .ZIP file using the -$ parameter,
  42.           to a freshly formatted diskette.

  44.     Example:

  46.     Change Drives:  a:
  47.             unzip -$ c:\temp\op152-1.zip
  48.                     
  49.                Repeat this process for each zip file unzipping each
  50.             file to a different diskette.

  52.           After you have created the diskettes put disk 1 into the drive and run 
  53.           INSTALL.EXE to being installation.

  56.     Uninstallation:
  57.     ---------------
  58.  
  59.         The install program contains an uninstall feature, which can be
  60.         used to remove the software from your system.  Before running
  61.         the uninstall process, ensure that the Control Center and Tab
  62.         LaunchPad have been closed, and you have disabled the Task
  63.         Manager and Keyboard LaunchPad features.  If you find the
  64.         uninstall procedure fails with a SYS3175 error, or incompletely
  65.         removes the software from your system, please reboot your
  66.         computer and retry the uninstall process after your system
  67.         restarts.

  69.         In addition, a manual removal procedure is documented in the
  70.         "Object Desktop Professional Read Me First! document" in your
  71.         Object Desktop Professional folder.

  74.     Special Instructions for OS/2 2.1 Users:
  75.     ----------------------------------------

  77.         Object Desktop Professional has been designed for OS/2 version
  78.         2.1 or higher. However, there are several problems fixed by
  79.         IBM's OS/2 2.11 Service Pak which are required for using Object
  80.         Desktop Professional. Specifically, the Object Desktop
  81.         Professional Tab LaunchPad object may hang a OS/2 2.1 system due
  82.         to a defect in OS/2.  For this reason, we recommend using Object
  83.         Desktop Professional with OS/2 2.11 or higher.

  85.         Stardock Systems recommends installing the latest Service Pak
  86.         offered by IBM for OS/2 2.11, called XR_B098, dated 9/95, if you
  87.         are using OS/2 2.11 with Object Desktop Professional.

  89.         To take full advantage of all the features in Object Desktop
  90.         Professional, the use of the OS/2 Warp family of products is
  91.         required.
