Hi, I need some feedback from people with a voice modem.
--------------------------------------------------------
If you have a voice modem based on the Rockwell chipset you might want to try
this test version of my answering machine for OS/2. The program works here, but
it would be nice if eventually it would work everywhere.
I hope the interface is self explanatory, if not feel free to ask me for help.
The only part that does not yet work is the multiple mailbox support, eventhough
the interface is already there. There is only one mailbox active (the main mailbox)
and the other ones (1 - 10) are supposed to be working in the future.
If you don't know wether or not your modem has a Rockwell chipset in it you can just
try the progam. This program does not work with USRobotics or Motorola Voice Modems
that I know of. Some Rockwell based modem brands are: Zoom, The Complete PC, Elsa
and a lot of clone modems. Remember you need a VOICE modem.
I'm mainly interested if the program operates correctly or not. Operation includes:
Answering calls and recording messages. And recording and playing messages.
Please send all Feedback to "Sacha Prins <sprins@businessnet.net>"
Install
-------
Run install.cmd in the directory where the program is to be executed from. This will
create the mailbox directories. Run answer.exe and that's all. Not creating the
directories will result in a malfunctioning program.
! This was forgotten in the ans199b.zip distribution !
