  1. XEARTH.MPG is an Xing-compatible mpeg (160x120 x 36 frames).

  3. I first rendered the "Earth" using Pov-Ray2.0... the image is a sphere
  4. with the texture{ bump_map { gif .... of a topological photo of the world.
  5. then I applied the pigment { image_map { gif ... of a color picture at the
  6. same resolution.
  7. Hense, the globe is a semi-true model of the world.

  9. After generating 36 frames (10' rotation each) I passed the resulting TGA's
  10. thru CMPEG which generated my animation.
