Dear User,
The M.C. Escher's Legacy CD-ROM contains 26 contributions
which extend articles in the book M.C. Escher's Legacy.
On this CD-ROM, we have provided all articles in PDF format
as well as some files with supplementary material such as
movie files.
System requirements to play the CD-ROM
Windows
Intel Pentium processor
Microsoft Windows 95 OSR 2.0, Windows 98 SE, Windows
Millennium Edition, Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5,
Windows 2000, or Windows XP
sound card
64 MB of RAM
24 MB of available hard-disk space
Macintosh
PowerPCÆ processor
Mac OS software version 8.6(*), 9.0.4, 9.1, or Mac OS X(*)
64 MB of RAM
24 MB of available hard-disk space
* Some features may not be available.
To view the pdf files and movies, you need some additional
programs:
- ADOBE Acrobat Reader for *.pdf
- APPLE QuickTime Player for *.mov
If you have recent versions of these programs installed on
your computer, you can start the CD-ROM by double-clicking
on the file START.pdf
ADOBE Acrobat Reader version 5.x
For your convenience we have provided ADOBE Acrobat Reader
version 5.x with search function which can be found in the
subdirectory \ACROBAT\win32 (version for Windows 95, 98 or
Windows NT, 2000) or \ACROBAT\Mac (version for Macintosh).
To install these versions, double click on the respective
*.exe/Installer-file which starts an automatic installation
program.
For recent information about ADOBE Acrobat Reader versions
available for your system, please visit http://www.adobe.com
The Index can be found on the CD-ROM in the subdirectory
\Misc. Click on "INDEX.PDX" and press the OK button to confirm.
APPLE QuickTime Movie Player
For your convenience we have provided APPLE QuickTime
Player version 5.x which can be found in the subdirectory
\QUICKTIME\win32 (version for Windows 98or Windows NT, 2000)
or \QUICKTIME\Mac (version for Macintosh). To install these
versions, double click on the respective *.exe/Installer-file
which starts an automatic installation program.
