NEW THIS RELEASE
================
o These drivers provide multi-instance support: you can open multiple
digital audio and MIDI players on the desktop, and play the music
sequentially as you switch focus from one player to another.
Installation using OS/2 Ver. 2.1 with MMPM/2 Ver. 1.1
=====================================================
1) Install MMPM/2 (Multimedia Presentation Manager/2) if you haven't
already done so.
2) Replace the driver in your \MMOS2 directory with the
corresponding driver supplied here:
For Sound Blaster, replace SBD2.SYS with the new driver supplied;
For Sound Blaster Pro (OPL 2), replace SBPD2.SYS;
For Sound Blaster Pro (OPL 3), replace SBP2D2.SYS;
For Sound Blaster 16, replace SB16D2.SYS;
3) Reboot your system
SOME INFO & WORK-AROUND SOLUTIONS
=================================
o Sound Blaster (normal) adapters do not have software volume
control.
o MCV adapters should be set to I/O address 240 to avoid conflicts
with SCSI adapters.
o Note that IRQ 7 is used for LPT1 and IRQ 5 is used for COM1 on
OS/2 2.1. On most ISA bus machines, IRQs are NOT shareable,
thus printing or serial communication on COM1 will not function
if the SoundBlaster is set to those IRQs.
