  302. 3.  Installation
  303. ----------------

  305. To install WAZTREE on your hard disk:
  306. a.   Place Disk in drive A.
  307. b.   Type: INSTALL and press ENTER.
  308. c.   Follow the directions displayed on the screen.
  309.  
  310. If you don't want to use the install program supplied then copy the
  311. following files to a directory on your hard disk (example: make a
  312. directory named Waztree "MKDIR WAZTREE").

  319. If you had Version 1.5 and have installed V2.20 delete file

  325. 360k floppies as well.

  347. 4. Tips on using WazTree
  348. ------------------------

  350. *    You can set up formatting diskettes using Application menu.
  351.      For example if you have a 1.2m floppy and want to format 360k
  352.      set up the following application than when you want to format
  353.      360k floppies just select it.  Set up: Press F4 to get
  354.      Applications, press F2 with mark over blank application, enter
  355.      ie. C:\DOS\FORMAT.COM A:/F:360 <enter> then name the
  356.      application "format A: as 360k".  You could set one up for
  357.      each of the type of floppies you have then formatting will be
  358.      a easier.
  359.  
  360. *    If you don't want to use Waztree's editor then you can specify
  361.      your own by command ctrl z and after the ID entry you can
  362.      specify complete path and name of your editor.
  363.  
  364. *    If you use your own editor and edit the same file often you
  365.      might want to enter the editor and document in an Application
  366.      selection.  Example of Application command line:
  367.      C:\EDITOR\ED.EXE MYDOC.DOC
  368.  
  369. *    If you don't want to use Waztree's modem (wtmodem) or voice dialer
  370.      (wtvoice) then you can specify your own by command ctrl z and after

  398. 6. Using Mouse Drivers with EGA and VGA Graphics Cards
  399. ------------------------------------------------------

  401. Early versions of mouse drivers don't support screen display modes
  402. larger than 80 columns by 24 lines. As a result, your mouse driver
  403. might not work correctly when you use WAZTREE enhanced display
  404. modes EGA 80x43 or VGA 80x50. The following chart will assist you
  405. in determining if your mouse driver will work correctly with the
  406. enhanced display modes.  You can usually get an updated driver via
  407. BBS's.

  483. 8. Shareware
  484. ------------

  486. Shareware (also known as user supported software, try before you buy and other
  487. names) is a concept not understood by everyone.  The authors of Shareware
  488. retain all rights to the software under the copyright laws while still allowing
  489. free distribution.  This gives the user the chance to freely acquire and try
  490. software to see if it is appropriate for his or her needs.  Shareware should
  491. not be confused with Public Domain software even though they are often acquired
  492. from the same sources.  If you continue to use Shareware after trying it out,
  493. you are expected to register your use with the author and pay a registration
  494. fee.  What you get in return depends on the author, but may include a printed
  495. manual, free updates, telephone support, etc.  Only by paying for the Shareware
  496. you use do you enable the Shareware author to continue to support his software
  497. and create new programs.  Considering that the Shareware registration fees are
  498. almost always far less than the purchase price of comparable commercial
  499. software it's obvious that Shareware is a good deal for everyone.  There are
  500. genuine advantages to you in the Shareware system.  You get to  try out
