4. Tips on using WazTree
------------------------
* You can set up formatting diskettes using Application menu.
For example if you have a 1.2m floppy and want to format 360k
set up the following application than when you want to format
360k floppies just select it. Set up: Press F4 to get
Applications, press F2 with mark over blank application, enter
ie. C:\DOS\FORMAT.COM A:/F:360 <enter> then name the
application "format A: as 360k". You could set one up for
each of the type of floppies you have then formatting will be
a easier.
* If you don't want to use Waztree's editor then you can specify
your own by command ctrl z and after the ID entry you can
specify complete path and name of your editor.
* If you use your own editor and edit the same file often you
might want to enter the editor and document in an Application
selection. Example of Application command line:
C:\EDITOR\ED.EXE MYDOC.DOC
* If you don't want to use Waztree's modem (wtmodem) or voice dialer
(wtvoice) then you can specify your own by command ctrl z and after
the ID entry and editor you can specify complete path and name of
your programs to put in there place.

"WazTree help"
Please provide the following information:
- Registration number (if registered)
- Computer brand and model, and the brands and model numbers of
any additional hardware.
- Operating system and version number (you can determine the
version number by typing VER at the DOS prompt). (WazTree
requires V3.3 or higher)
- Contents of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
- Contents of your CONFIG.SYS file.
6. Using Mouse Drivers with EGA and VGA Graphics Cards
------------------------------------------------------
Early versions of mouse drivers don't support screen display modes
larger than 80 columns by 24 lines. As a result, your mouse driver
might not work correctly when you use WAZTREE enhanced display
modes EGA 80x43 or VGA 80x50. The following chart will assist you
in determining if your mouse driver will work correctly with the
enhanced display modes. You can usually get an updated driver via
BBS's.
Mouse Version that supports EGA 80x43 and VGA 80x50
----- ---------------------------------------------
Microsoft 6.0 or higher
Logitech 4.0 or higher

8. Shareware
------------
Shareware (also known as user supported software, try before you buy and other
names) is a concept not understood by everyone. The authors of Shareware
retain all rights to the software under the copyright laws while still allowing
free distribution. This gives the user the chance to freely acquire and try
software to see if it is appropriate for his or her needs. Shareware should
not be confused with Public Domain software even though they are often acquired
from the same sources. If you continue to use Shareware after trying it out,
you are expected to register your use with the author and pay a registration
fee. What you get in return depends on the author, but may include a printed
manual, free updates, telephone support, etc. Only by paying for the Shareware
you use do you enable the Shareware author to continue to support his software
and create new programs. Considering that the Shareware registration fees are
almost always far less than the purchase price of comparable commercial
software it's obvious that Shareware is a good deal for everyone. There are
genuine advantages to you in the Shareware system. You get to try out
software to make sure it is compatible with your hardware and that it fits your
needs before you "buy" it with your registration. The author saves the expense
of advertising, packaging and distribution and passes the savings on to you.
Plus, most Shareware authors are much more accessible and gracious than
commercial software sources so that your questions and suggestions are much
more likely to be responded to.
Again thank you for your support.
