COPIER is a program intended to be used with an HP ScanJet scanner and an HP
LaserJet printer to provide the function of a desktop copier. Documents are
scanned and printed at a resolution of 300 dpi. Document size is assumed to
be 8.5 x 11 inches.
COPIER requires approximately 1MB of available disk space for a temporary
raster image file. This temporary file (COPIER.TMP) is normally created in
and then deleted from the current directory, but may be directed elsewhere
(to a RAM disk, for example) by using the DOS SET command to create a
"TEMP=d:\path\" environment variable.
When COPIER is executed, the following options are displayed:
<ESC> = Quit <RET> = Copy <P> = Print
Pressing the ESCAPE key terminates the program and returns control to DOS.
Pressing the RETURN key scans the document in the scanner and reproduces it
on the printer.
Pressing the P key prints another copy of the last document scanned.
Several command line options are available to modify COPIER's operation:
/Bn = Set scanner brightness level (-127 to +127) : Default = 0
/Cn = Set scanner contrast level (-127 to +127) : Default = -50
/I = Invert scanned image (black/white)
/M = Mirror scanned image (left/right)
/2 = LaserJet II compatibility mode
