  11.      This program is provided as Shareware.  It may be copied and
  12. distributed freely on a non-commercial basis. It must be distributed
  13. only in it's complete, original, and unaltered form.  Commercial
  14. distribution must be licensed.  Every effort has been made to assure
  15. that this product is free of defects, however it is provided as is
  16. without warranty, either expressed or implied.  If you use this
  17. product, I ask that you send me a $25 contribution for registration. 
  18. You will receive the latest version of ALPHA MENU.  Registered users can 
  19. request a special "back door"  password which will gain access to all 
  20. selections.

  22.      Alpha Menu is a menu program designed to allow the user to access
  23. their programs with one or two keystrokes.  It also provides password
  24. protection to each selection if desired.  Also prevents exit to DOS if
  25. a master password is set.  Each of the selections at the ALPHA MENU can
  26. be use to access a sub menu.  If no sub menus are defined ALPHA MENU
  27. will provide access to 26 different programs.  If all alpha menu
  28. selections are used as sub menus, then the user has 260 programs that
  29. are two keystrokes away.

  32.      OR ACCIDENTAL ACCESS ONLY.

  34.     Alpha Menu has online help screen to assist you in using the 
  35. program.  However an understanding of DOS commands is needed to setup 
  36. program calls.  If you are not sure on how to install programs on your 
  37. computer seek help from a friend.

  39. If you find ALPHA MENU of value, you are encouraged  to register your
  40. copy by mailing your registation fee of $25  and become a supporter.

  42. A license is required for use of ALPHA MENU by corporations and
  43. institutions, and for its commercial distribution.

  45. A license agreement form can found in the file license.txt. The license
  46. is for perpetual, non-exclusive use of the current version.  If you
  47. have special requirements, such as licensing for an unlimited number of
  48. copies, or customization, please feel free to submit them in writing.

  50. The fee for a license depends on the estimated number of copies of the
  51. program that you will use.  The fee applies to one site.  For local
  52. area networks, one copy must be licensed for each computer that will be
  53. using the program on the network.  To use the discount schedule below,
  54. estimate the total number of copies that you may eventually use.

  79.      Data Masters of Jax makes no warranty of any kind, express or
  80.      implied, including without limitation, any warranties of merchant-
  81.      ability and/or fitness for a particular purpose.  Data Masters of
  82.      Jax shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect,
  83.      special or consequential arising from a failure of this program to
  84.      operate in the manner desired by the user.  Data Masters of Jax
  85.      shall not be liable for any damage to data or property which may
  86.      be caused directly or indirectly by use of the program.

  95. INSTALLATION

  97.     Create a directory on your C drive called ALPHA. Change directory
  98. to the ALPHA sub directory and copy all files from the distrubution diskette.
  99. Place the directory ALPHA on your DOS PATH or place the MENU.BAT in the 
  100. root directory or a sub directory in the DOS PATH.

  102.     If you create the sub directory ALPHA on a Network OR Local drive other
  103. than the drive C.  Then you must edit the MENU.BAT file and replace the drive
  104. letter C with the drive letter where the sub directory ALPHA can be found,
  105. such as F in a Novell network.
