Cinema Manual
INTRODUCTION
This universal tool was designed to play all the most common sound files
and to show all the most common graphic and animation files. We believe
you'll find that it's very easy to use.
INSTALLATION
You must install all the files found on this disk to a directory that is
in your path statement. You'll find this path statement in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If this directory isn't already in the path statement
add it to the end. Don't forget to place a semicolon between it and the
previous path statement. For example:
Previous path statement:
PATH C:\DOS
New path statement:
PATH C:\DOS;C:\CINEMA
You may copy these files to an existing directory that is already in your
path statement.
SELECTING OPTIONS
Select options using the mouse or keyboard. You may use the arrow keys
to highlight the option you desire then press ENTER. Or, you may use the
mouse to highlight an option by placing the mouse cursor on it and pressing
the left mouse button once. Press the left mouse button again to execute
the option.
CHANGE DIRECTORY
You may choose this option from the main menu to change your current
directory without exiting the program. Your current directory will
be constantly displayed at the bottom of the screen.
SHOW GRAPHICS FILE
This option allows you to show PCX, GIF, FLI, and GRASP files. Suppose
you choose the option LIST PCX FILES. You'll be shown a list of all the
PCX files found in your current directory (which is shown at the bottom
of the screen). If you see one on the list you'd like to see just select
it using the mouse or keyboard.
While a graphic file is being displayed, press any key to return to the
previous menu.
You may also select a special effect for displaying PCX or GIF files. For
example you may choose SPIRAL. This will cause the graphics to be displayed
from the center in a spiral fashion. There are 11 different special effects
to choose from.
PLAY SOUND FILE
Use this option to play VOC, WAV, CMF, or MID sound files. After you choose
one of these first four options you'll see a list of the files found on your
current directory. Just select the one you want to hear.
The next four options under PLAY SOUND FILES allow you to play all the sound
files found that are recorded using a particular format. The last option
allows you to play all the sound files that are found on your current
directory.
You'll need a sound card installed before you can hear these sound files.
