  27. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of North Dakota
  28. and shall inure to the benefit of TNT Software and any successors,
  29. administrators, heirs and assigns.  Any action or proceding brought by either
  30. party against the other arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be
  31. brought only in a STATE or FEDERAL COURT of competent jurisdiction located in
  32. Cass County, North Dakota.  The parties hereby consent to in personam
  33. jurisdiction of said courts.

  39. DiaChess verson 1.0 consists of the following files:

  41.      DIACHESS.EXE  -  The DiaChess program.
  42.      DCHELP  .HLP  -  The DiaChess HELP file.
  43.      REGISTER.EXE  -  The registration form print-out program.
  44.      TESTME  .EXE  -  The printer test program.
  45.      DCINSTAL.EXE  -  The DiaChess installation program.
  46.      READ    .ME   -  This file.

  49. INSTALLING DIACHESS:

  52. DiaChess is ready to run "as is".  You may either run the program from its 
  53. original diskette, or you can install DiaChess on another drive.
  54.  
  55. If you plan to run DiaChess from its original diskette, it is recommended
  56. that you first make a back-up copy.  
  57.  
  58. In order to install DiaChess on another drive, you may either copy all of the 
  59. files from your original diskette onto the selected drive, or you can run the
  60. DCINSTAL program we've included.
  61.  
  62. EXAMPLE: To use DCINSTAL to install DiaChess on your C: drive with the 
  63. original disk in the A: drive, at the DOS prompt enter:
  64.  
  65.    A:\DCINSTAL C:
  66.  
  67. The DCINSTAL program will create a directory named DIACHESS and then copy all
  68. of the files from the original disk to the new directory.  After using the
  69. DCINSTAL program, put your original diskette in a safe place.  It is your 
  70. back-up.

  73. PROGRAM INFORMATION:

  76. DiaChess 1.0 was written using Borland's Turbo Pascal version 7.0, with
  77. heavy reliance on the Turbo Vision framework and objects.
  78.  
  79. DiaChess is a ShareWare program, and is provided at no charge for evaluation.
  80. You may give copies to your friends, but do NOT alter or offer as part of
  81. another software package.  If you find this program useful and continue to
  82. use DiaChess after a reasonable trial period, you must make a registration
  83. payment of $20.00 (U.S.) to TNT Software.  Registration entitles you to the
  84. latest program version or upgrade, announcements of future upgrades, and a
  85. few suprise goodies thrown in for fun.

  87. The DiaChess program was initially designed to record and print chess games.
  88. Using an IBM or EPSON compatible printer, games may be printed diagramming
  89. each move.  DiaChess is also a valuable teaching and study tool.  Improve
  90. your play by studying your own games, the games of masters, and standard
  91. "book" openings.

  97. Turn on your printer, check the paper supply, and at the DOS prompt type:

  99.      TESTME
  100.  
  101. If DiaChess supports your printer a one page sample game will be diagrammed.
  102. If the sample game does NOT print, then DiaChess doesn't support your 
  103. printer...yet.  If you experience problems with TESTME, please send TNT 
  104. Software a sample run of the TESTME program, along with your name, address, 
  105. and a description of your printer (Make & Model).

  108. DiaChess is SHAREWARE:

  111. ShareWare is a software marketing method that allows users to try before
  112. they buy.  Users can obtain a copy of a program from a ShareWare dealer
  113. (for a small handling fee - usually around $5.00).  ShareWare products are
  114. often less expensive than comparable retail software due to this marketing
  115. method.  Program copies may also be obtained from friends, a user group, or
  116. an electronic bulletin board.  The software you get is fully functional,
  117. allowing you to evaluate it and decide if it is useful to you.  If you
  118. continue to use the software after a reasonable trial period, you are
  119. required to purchase the software by paying a registration fee.
