  22.    ====Installing The ViaCommander Icon====    
  23.  
  24.     How to install your program as an Icon with the 
  25.     Windows' Program Manager.
  26.  
  27.     1. First install the program in a DOS directory, 
  28.     outside of Windows.
  29.  
  30.     2. Start up Windows and open the PROGRAM MANAGER.
  31.  
  32.     3. Click once on the GROUP in which you want the 
  33.     new ViaCommander Icon installed.
  34.  
  35.     4. Go up to the menu bar at the top of your screen 
  36.     and click on the word FILE.
  37.  
  38.     5. A menu drops down.  Click on NEW.
  39.  
  40.     6. You will see a window with two choices.  Select 
  41.     PROGRAM ITEM.  Then click on OKAY.
  42.  
  43.     7. Another window appears entitled PROGRAM ITEM
  44.     PROPERTIES.
  45.  
  46.     8. Click in the box labeled DESCRIPTION. Type 
  47.     "ViaCommander".
  48.  
  49.     9. Use the tab key or mouse and go to the box 
  50.     labeled COMMAND LINE.  Type the full name of the 
  51.     path to the directory where you have installed 
  52.     ViaCommander, and the name VCOMMAND.EXE. For example,
  53.     if the program is in a directory called VIA on the
  54.     C drive you would enter    C:\VIA\VCOMMAND.EXE in the 
  55.     box.
  56.  
  57.     10. Use the TAB key to go to the box labeled WORKING
  58.     DIRECTORY.  Type the name of the directory in which 
  59.     you installed ViaCommander.  For example, if you 
  60.     installed the game in a directory called VIA, then 
  61.     type C:\VIA.

  63.     11. Now click on OKAY in the PROGRAM ITEM PROPERTIES
  64.     Window.
  65.  
  66.     You should now have the ViaCommander Icon installed 
  67.     in your PROGRAM MANAGER. Enjoy the program!

  82.    VBRUN300.DLL (which should be included) to run.  If you got 
  83.    your copy from an on-line service or bulletin board take note:

  85.         Some BBS Sysops remove the VBRUN300.DLL file from Windows
  86.         programs that use it in order to save disk drive space.
  87.         If you are missing the VBRUN300.DLL file, log back on to
  88.         the service or BBS it came from, and, if you can't easily
  89.         find the VBRUN file, leave a comment to your Sysop asking
  90.         how he/she allows people to acquire it.
