  1. HyperSnap-DX 3.1 CAPTURES WINDOWS 95, NT,
  2. DIRECTX, and 3DFX GLIDE SCREENS for WEB,
  3. WINHELP, and more! Save captures as JPEGs,
  4. GIFs, BMPs, or any of TWENTY FORMATS with
  5. subformatting variations using the FREE Pro
  6. Plug-in. Use HOTKEYS or an AUTOTIMER to grab
  7. a desktop, highlighted window, or any area,
  8. and include CURSOR IMAGES. This MAJOR UPDATE
  9. adds AREA CROPPING, and TWAIN compatibility,
  10. resizing & resolution changes with Plug-in.

  13. INSTALLATION
  14. ------------

  16. Install this program by running the self-extracting archive, 
  17. HySnap.exe or SETUP.EXE (e.g.  double click on its icon).  You 
  18. will be prompted for the target folder, where HyperSnap-DX files 
  19. will be installed.  A HyperSnap-DX group (menu) will be created 
  20. in your Windows 95 or NT Start menu, together with an 
  21. "Uninstall" icon that will completely remove HyperSnap-DX if 
  22. necessary.

  24. If the uninstall script file (UnHSDX.bat in your Windows 
  25. directory) was accidently deleted, you may still completely 
  26. uninstall HyperSnap-DX by running: 
  27.  
  28.   hsdx -uninstall
  29.  
  30. and then deleting its files and directory manually. To recreate
  31. HyperSnap-DX menu under Windows 95 "Start" button you may run
  32. again HySnap.exe, if you saved it, or just run:
  33.  
  34.   hsdx -install
  35.  
  36. and enter the same directory where HyperSnap-DX is already 
  37. installed.
  38.  
  39. Register your copy of HyperSnap-DX by selecting "Register" under 
  40. the program's Help menu, or from within the help menu.  This 
  41. program is a 'try before you buy' shareware program that relies 
  42. on your support for continued development, and single user 
  43. registration is only $25.00.  When you register HyperSnap-DX you 
  44. will receive a code that fully enables the software and become 
  45. eligible for priority support.  You will also be able to obtain 
  46. free updates of the program through our Web page (address below) 
  47. with which you can use your registration code, until the next 
  48. major release.

  50. You may also purchase HyperSnap-DX licenses in our WEB Store
  51. on the Internet. It uses secure connection to insure privacy.

  74.      Single licenses: $25 each, or $7.50 upgrade from HyperSnap 2

  123. More small changes and bug fixes: print sometimes would not work.
  124. Added Esc button handling to Window capture, to let you interrupt
  125. it that way. Also space bar in Window capture now works the same
  126. as left mouse button - using it, e.g. when you click on a menu,
  127. will prevent the execution of this menu function.
  128. Made Quick Print and the Print button on the toolbar to start
  129. printing at once, instead of bringing up Print Dialog first.

  206. Added "Send by Email" item to the file menu. With MAPI enabled
  207. mailer this will let you send the current picture to any email

  211. Fixed a problem in saving BMP files: if the file was loaded from
  212. disk or saved with some options, changing BMP options (color depth)

  230. on it while holding the Shift key on the keyboard, this will pop
  231. up Quick Save setup dialog again, instead of checking the item off.

  233. HyperSnap-DX with file name argument (to view the file) in a current
  234. directory.
  235. Fixed: Page Up/Down keys would not display files in alphabetical
  236. order on Windows 95 (or FAT partitions under NT).

  243. Small fixes in DirectX capture. If you are in regular windows mode
  244. (not in DX full screen apllication), the DirectX capture hot key 
  245. will now snap the whole desktop instead of the active window. This
  246. is to fix a problem where for some games not the whole screen was
  247. captured.

  250. Fixed a small problem with the information about bitmap resolution,

  258. Added -initfrom:filename command line option. It may be used when
  259. starting HyperSnap-DX like:

  261. where hsdx2.ini is the initialization file (with hot keys etc.) for
  262. HyperSnap-DX. Normally it would read the options from the registry.
  263. This feature allows you to have multiple configurations with different
  264. settings. The initial copy of the ini file may be created with
  265.     hsdx -dumpopts
