  7. Featuring 2 new parameters to modem play DOOM 2. With these
  8. features, you can start a deathmatch right after your gameplay
  9. negotiations with your opponent by switching your modem from
  10. voice to data connection mode without calling your opponent again.
  11.  
  12. New parameters for SERSETUP.EXE:
  13.  
  14. -ATD will tell your modem to pick the phone line and dial switching mode.
  15. -ATA will tell your modem to pick the phone line and answer switching mode.
  16.  
  17. When you have finished your voice conversation with your opponent and
  18. ready to deathmatch, follow these instruction carefully:
  19.  
  20. 1. Caller run SERSETUP.EXE with parameter -ATD then wait until
  21.    the modem has picked up the line before hang up the handset.
  22.  
  23. 2. Receiver run SERSETUP.EXE with parameter -ATA then wait until
  24.    the modem has picked up the line before hang up the handset.
  25.  
  26. 3. You will hear the modems handshake and good luck!
  27.  
  28. If that does not work, try swapping parameter. Check your modem init
  29. string in MODEM.CFG or try to switch to data mode using a terminal
  30. program.
  31.  
  32. Both of you should hang up your handsets during the handshaking process
  33. otherwise data errors may occur or the line will be disconnected but
  34. make sure your modem has picked the line before you hang up your hangset!
  35.  
  36. The commands "AT S7=255 S10=255" will tell your modem not to hang up
  37. while data errors occur in case SERSETUP fails to start. Also, you
  38. can switch back to voice mode by picking up the hangset before you
  39. hang up the modem after playing or errors occur.
  40.  
  41. Connecting with earlier version of SERSETUP might not work! The source
  42. code for the original serial driver can be found at: ftp.idsoftware.com
