  16. someone who has no idea there is any controversy about Waco will only
  17. get you added to my procmail reject file.  I am including Carol Moore's
  18. excellent text file "The Massacre of the Branch Davidians: A Study of
  19. Government Violations of Rights, Excessive Force and Cover Up" making
  20. this a complete anti-Federal Law Enforcement multimedia event!  Please

  38. Description             : One awful day, the misguided management at
  39.                           your high-paying UAC desk job decides it would
  40. be a good idea to replace all the SGI Unix workstations with Apple Macs.
  41. You refuse to cooperate and soon your manager informs you that your
  42. services will no longer be required at UAC.
  43.  
  44. Like any red-blooded American, after weeks or months of brooding on this
  45. indignity, you determine that your only recourse is to grab your gun and
  46. as much ammo as you can carry, stroll into your former workplace and
  47. TAKE OUT AS MANY OF THEM AS YOU CAN before they get you.

  49. You phone your buddy up to warn him.  "Better take the day off Monday in
  50. case something terrible happens."  "Huh, what do you mean?  What could
  51. happen?" "Just take the day off, do it!"
  52.  
  53. The day arrives.  Getting an elevator to yourself, you pull out your
  54. trusty Glock on the way up.  Funny, there didn't seem to be the usual
  55. number of people coming and going in the lobby.  And what about all
  56. those black vans parked outside and all the black helicopters buzzing
  57. around. Could your buddy have squealed?  Nah...
  58.  
  59. The elevator door opens.  AGGHH!! The building is crawling with Federal
  60. Law Enforcement agents, the same Gestapo-like goons responsible for the
  61. death of Vicky Weaver and the Waco massacre!  The elevators are locked!
  62. Barricades have fallen into place in the stairways!  The building is
  63. surrounded by machine gun nests!  The heavily armed Feds have plastered
  64. Clinton posters everywhere!  Can you show these guys that an armed and
  65. desperate psycho is not so easy to kill as all those unarmed women and
  66. children?  Can you blast a path to freedom?

  68. Installing DISGRUNT:  Go to your doom directory and extract the files
  69. using PKUNZIP:

  73. For maximum white-knuckle enjoyment, you will want to perform the
  74. graphics sprite changes.  
  75.  
  76. After being duly chastised by Olivier Montanuy, I have decided to try
  77. DEUSF technique of installing custom sprites instead of the PERL/DMGRAPH
  78. approach used by a previous version.  Advantages: does not alter
  79. DOOM.WAD; smaller .ZIP file.
  80.  
  81. The install batch file is still called DISGINST.BAT.  Run this, and it
  82. will append the sprites from your DOOM.WAD file to the file DISGSPR.WAD
  83. yielding a new DISGSPR.WAD containing all the sprites DOOM needs to run.
  84. DISGINST.BAT creates two other batch files, DISGRUNT.BAT (to play) and
  85. UNINSTAL.BAT (zaps the 2+ MB DISGSPR.WAD back to its original 250K size).
  86. You now need to add both DISGSPR.WAD and DISGRUN3.WAD on the doom
  87. command line; see DISGRUNT.BAT for an example.

  91.     barrel => Apple Macintosh 
  92.     former human trooper => FBI Rifleman
  93.     former human sergeant => Shotgun-Wielding BATF Agent
  94.     imp => Special Elite Flamethrower-Wielding BATF Agent
  95.         (Due to the heavy load of highly flammable napalm carried
  96.         by this type of BATF agent, a mere bullet or shotgun round
  97.         can cause the same grisly explosion with chunks of flesh 
  98.         flying everywhere usually seen only with a rocket hit).
  99.     demon => Law Enforcement-style German Shepherd

  101. Comments: The level is modelled after a single floor of a former
  102. employer's building.  
  103.  
  104. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who can help me transform the
  105. cyberdemon into a tank.  I would think there'd be a view of a tank from
  106. all eight orthogonal and diagonal directions floating around
  107. somewhere...  A similar 8-way view of Janet Reno's head would be way
  108. cool, picture it pasted onto the torso of a cyberdemon... perhaps with
  109. the FBI logo on its' chest...  Anyone know where I could get a floor
  110. plan of the Branch Davidian complex?
