The track I Got A Hold On You is significantly different from the other music featured in Music From Another Dimension as it is very much a contemporary pop song. In fact, it was a strong contender for the theme song for the theme music to the "New Baywatch" television series.
While the band's name may not be familar to you, their music will as the songwriters have been responsible for much of the incidental music on daytime television shows such as "Ann and Nick".
Unsing Heroes consists of Simon Lockyer (right) and Max Preece. Simon is a former member of the National Youth Orchestra and spent four years at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Working with Simon May, he co-wrote the music for "Howards Way" and "Trainer". He has also composed and co-produced music for "Eastenders", "The Vet", "Food and Drink" and a host of other popular TV shows.
Max currently runs his own recording studio hidden away on the edge of the New Forest. In addition to producing, he is involved in a wide range of radio and theatrical projects. His music includes the backing to the National Power corporate videos as well as session work on guitar and bass. When not in the studio, Max works as a DJ and has over 2000 live appearances to his credit.
Both Simon and Max wish to further their careers beyond the normal pop scene by writing scores for film and television. They have already been asked to submit themes and songs to order on a regular basis, primarily for the American market. As a writing team they are capable of producing any style required by a film or television production company, but are certain that they still manage to retain their own distinctive sound as musicians.
