CD-TOOLS COMMANDS

Usage: CDT [-Option(s)] [<Command>] [<Parm(s)>...]

■ ? gives a full description of one or all command(s)
■ ADDRESS translates CD addresses between Red Book and High Sierra
■ AUDIO manipulates the audio channels (Input->Output and Volume)
■ COMPARE compares the ROM tracks of two CD's in two CD drives
■ CRC generate a CRC checksum for a CD-ROM track
■ DOOR Open/Close/Lock/Unlock a CD drive door or show door status
■ DUMP dumps a range of CD-ROM/CD-DA tracks/sectors to disk
■ GRAB 'listen then grab' CD-DA sectors and save to disk
■ INFO displays the CD device driver support functions
■ PLAY plays a range of CD-DA tracks/sectors from a CD-DA
■ QINFO shows the Q-Channel information of a CD-DA during play
■ SCAN scans a range of ROM/AUDIO tracks/sectors for read errors
■ SECTOR shows sector layout for Yellow/Red/Green Book sectors
■ SPEED gives the data transfer rate and av. access time of a CD drive
■ STOP stops the audio output from a CD-DA
■ TOC shows a CD's Table Of Contents
■ VIEW displays CD-ROM/CD-DA sectors on screen in HEX and ASCII
■ VOLUME shows an ISO-9660 or High Sierra CD-ROM's volume descriptors
CD-TOOLS OPTIONS

Usage: CDT [-Option(s)] [<Command>] [<Parm(s)>]

<Option> <Brief Description>
■ -CHANNEL specifies stereo, mono, left or right channels for CD-DA
■ -DRIVE specifies a CD drive if more than one exists
■ -FILE specifies the file name and file type for writing to
■ -LSB stores audio samples Least Significant Byte first (default)
■ -MODE specifies the SCSI Mode Select Parameter for raw sector reads
■ -MSB stores audio samples Most Significant Byte first
■ -PROGRESS specifies the progress indicator used when reading sectors
■ -QUIET stops character output to screen with Play and Stop commands
■ -RATE specifies the sampling rate in Hz for reading audio data
■ -SIZE sets the sample size to 8 or 16 bits for reading audio data
CD-TOOLS is SHAREWARE. If you continue to use this software after a 30
day trial period you must register your version by paying the license
fee shown below. Registered users will receive free access to the RNC
Bulletin Board and the latest version of CD-TOOLS downloadable from the
BBS.
