  8. This companion CD-ROM contains a variety of software and online
  9. documents that can be used to assist you in building your Web
  10. site on the Windows NT Server platform. Each individual piece of
  11. software or document is in its own directory.

  14. WEBTRENDS
  15.  
  16. WebTrends is a very useful program that provides log analysis
  17. tools to monitor usage patterns of your Web site. With WebTrends,
  18. you can determine important facts about your Web site, such as
  19. the times your server is most active and least active, the files
  20. that are accessed the most, and other important data. To use
  21. WebTrends, you must have your WWW logs saved to disk, rather than
  22. to a database.

  24. To install WebTrends, change to the WEBTRENDS directory and
  25. launch the WT_TRIAL.EXE program. This will install a version of
  26. WebTrends that you will be able to use for 60 days. Should you
  27. wish to continue your use of this software after the 60-day trial
  28. period, you will be prompted to contact the makers of WebTrends,
  29. EG Software, to purchase a full license to use the product.

  32. PUBLISHER!

  34. Publisher! is an HTML editor that makes it easy to create HTML
  35. code by providing you with most HTML tags at the touch of a
  36. button. In addition, you can instantly preview your HTML
  37. documents using either the built-in viewer or Microsoft Internet
  38. Explorer.

  40. To install Publisher!, go to the PUBLISH directory, launch the
  41. SETUP.EXE program, and follow the prompts. You will be able to
  42. run this version of Publisher! 60 times; then it will expire. If
  43. you like this tool and would like to continue using it, you will
  44. be prompted to contact the developer to purchase a license for
  45. this product.

  48. INTERNET ASSISTANTS FOR MICROSOFT WORD,
  49. MICROSOFT EXCEL, AND MICROSOFT POWERPOINT

  52. any of them, refer to Appendix D of the book. You can find the
  53. Internet Assistants in the IA directory.

  56. WEB WIZARD 32
  57.  
  58. This is a step-by-step, easy-to-use tool that a novice Web author
  59. can use to create starter or basic Web pages. It creates a Web
  60. page that can be published as is or modified using any HTML
  61. editor. WEB Wizard 32 is freeware.

  63. To install WEB Wizard 32, go to the WEBWIZ directory and copy the
  64. file WEBWIZ32.EXE to a directory of your choice on your hard
  65. disk. To run, launch WEBWIZ32.EXE.

  68. MAPTHIS! 32-BIT
  69.  
  70. This is a WWW image map editor. This program lets you
  71. graphically create hot links or selectable areas for a graphic,
  72. called an image map. This is much easier than the process of
  73. specifying the coordinates manually.

  75. To install MapThis! 32-bit, open the MAPTHIS directory, launch
  76. the program MTBETAR5.EXE, and follow the prompts.
