This binder was written in Magpie by myself and Anne McGhee.
Some additional graphics were drawn by Stuart Young.

Discs
-----
There are 2 discs with the package
Disc 1 This contains !Edit files of all the terms used in the dictionary.
The file TermsList contains a list of all the terms and their page
numbers on the nest. These make up the left hand side of the page
that you see when running the binder.
This contains the !Draw graphics and the !Edit text examples used on the right hand of the page.
Disc 2 This is a 1.6M disc which contains the actual dictionary and a copy of !MagpiRead.
Suggestion for class use.
-------------------------
The dictionary (Disc 2)
1. Put this binder on your NEXUS system or hard disc for reference during normal class work. Pupils can print out definitions or "collect" them by saving them onto their own discs. They can even be saved directly into
a program like Impression Junior or EasiWriter. This is an impressive
facility for independent notetaking!
2. Set the pupils "terms tests" with a difference. Even better. get them to alter or add their own definitions of terms.
The Edit files (Disc 1)
1. Use these to make up your own lists of terms for home study.
2. Add them to your Econet using the *DESCRIBE facility (or the *HAWSIR / *HAWMISS facility as it is known in Lanark division).
The !Draw files (Disc 1)
These files are in the public domain and can be used for creation of worksheeets by teachers of for posters, notes, etc by pupils.
Altering stacks
---------------
Please feel free to add your own definitions, graphics, sound effects, etc. You need a copy of the full Magpie package to do this. Refer to the manual for details on how to do this.
I would be grateful for copies of the altered binder (or even just the
added pages - it is possible to work on subsets of binders and add these to
the main nest). This will allow me to maintain an up-to-date copy of S-Grade
computing terms, and we may be able to persuade someone to fund update
discs.
Thanks

Thanks are due to Stuart for the graphics, Johns Izat & Wilson for tolerance,
Dot for being Dot, but above all Anne McGhee who put in innumerable hours
