  6. transfer on the Joint Academic network, JANET, from the following:

  14.             THE  CPC  PROGRAM  LIBRARY INFORMATION  SERVICE
  15.  
  16. This service provides information about almost 1200 programs in physics and
  17. physical chemistry which are held in the CPC Program Library and described in
  18. the journal Computer Physics Communications (CPC). There is both a subject 
  19. and an author index. Detailed instructions for accessing the index can be
  20. obtained by sending a mail message to 
  21.

  76. There is an archive at the University of Stuttgart Supercomputing Centre
  77. (rusmv1.rus.uni-stuttgart.de, address 129.69.1.12) with some interesting
  78. stuff. The directory is  soft/acorn.

  80. The nethack posting is available for anon ftp from the tolsun archive
  81. (internet address 128.214.5.6), directories pub/acorn and incoming/acorn.

  83. A version of TeX for the Archimedes is available, also for anon ftp, from
  84. phoibos.cs.kun.nl, address 131.174.81.1. The directory is pub/ArMaTuReS, and
  85. there are 17 sparked files called TeX0.arm .... TeXg.arm. The '0' file
  86. contain's readme's, '8' and '9' contain sources, 'a' ... 'g' contain fonts.

  88. There is also an archive site in Australia which is only accessible from

  91. An archive of comp.sys.acorn is available for anonymous ftp from
  92. ftp.win.tue.nl (currently 131.155.70.100, but this could change) in the
  93. directory /pub/comp/sys/acorn.  The archive contains (almost) all articles
  94. which have ever appeared in comp.sys.acorn on the host
  95. svin02.info.win.tue.nl. Note that this contains discussion, not necessarily
  96. software.

  138. This offers two major online services, NISSBB, the NISS Bulletin Board,
  139. and NISSPAC, the NISS Public Access Collections. Users on JANET can connect
  140. to this service by typing  CALL NISS
  141.  which should connect you to the service, and give you help to get started.

  178.                    The PIXEL
  179.  
  180. "The Pixel" is a weekly electronic digest of articles intended to promote 
  181. discussion, help, and the dissemination and sharing of information between 
  182. people working in the areas of image processing, analysis and synthesis.
  183.  
  184. Associated with the digest is an image processing archive, which contains 
  185. only freely-distributed material. The current contents include source code, 
  186. references and support material, back issues of digests and newsletters. 
  187. There are a few images, more will be added as space permits.
