  5. !ArcFS     : Due to popular demand we have changed
  6.              over to ArcFS for the distribution of
  7.              compressed material. ArcFS provides a
  8.              faster and more Filer-like access to
  9.              archives than SparkPlug. Thanks to
  10.              Mark Smith for his permission.

  12.              N.B. SparkPlug should not be regarded
  13.              as representative of the full SparkFS,
  14.              which is an excellent utility that
  15.              allows proper image filing system
  16.              access to all number of foreign
  17.              archive formats such as Tar, Zip,
  18.              McStuffit, ARJ, PackdDir and also
  19.              converts ASCII armoured encodings
  20.              such as UUencode, BtoA, FCET, Boo.

  47. About archives
  48. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  49. Much of the material on this disc is compressed
  50. into files called 'archives'. These archives look
  51. and behave like directories, except that you will
  52. need to run !ArcFS (provided) to access them. If
  53. you have any problems, try copying the contents of
  54. the archive to your hard disc or another floppy
  55. disc, and then run it from there.
