CASE2case can now strip file type extensions off PC files as it lower cases
them. It will also set an appropriate Acorn file type for immediate use by
Acorn applications (e.g. TXT, JPG, PCX, BMP etc.) It will also do the
reverse if you ever need to send Acorn files to a PC user. You can drag
several directories to the program and it will give you a choice to rename
in situ or to copy and rename. Both of these activities happen in the
background. This will be of great use to people copying clipart from PC CDs
(see Archive 9.6 page 21.) An earlier Éhiccupæ with áÉ!NAMEæ not being
changed to É!Nameæ has been sorted out... sorry!
LooknFind has an option to catalogue any matches it makes with Étextæ inside
a file. These allows you to search vast directory structures in the back
ground and then be able to look at the files where the matches were found
quickly and at your own convenience using the program or look at the
catalogue file another day. Also you can load any found file into Edit or
run it, so making searches inside CSV files more practical.
