ReadCIS installation requires 190kb disk space, of which 77kb is the documentation, and 16k are optional .WVE (sound) files. Installation on a flash SSD is recommended. ReadCIS installation is slightly different than standard applications, if you are upgrading from version 1.5 please read the file CHANGES.TXT, otherwise follow these procedures...
1) Press <Psion-+> to create an \APP\READCIS directory on the disk where you wish to install ReadCIS. Be certain to include the backslash at the beginning of the name: \APP\READCIS.
2) Copy all files into the \APP\READCIS\ directory.
3) Press <Psion-I>.
4) Cursor to the second line of the dialog, and set the disk to A, B or Internal to match the disk that contains \APP\READCIS\.
5) Cursor to the first line of the dialog, and press <Tab>.
6) Cursor up to \APP\READCIS\, and press <Enter>.
7) Cursor down to "Readcis.opa". Choose carefully, there are many files with similar names.
8) Press <Enter>. The ReadCIS icon will appear.
9) Press <Enter> to start ReadCIS.
10) Press <Psion-+> to Configure Names.
11) Press <Psion-H> to Read Documentation.
12) Accept the default file _Readcis_ , press <Enter>.
13) The documentation is stored in Psion Data format. The first screen explains how to navigate, or convert it to a text file for reading with your PC word processor or a Psion text viewer, it is too large to open with Psion Word. Please read topics *2.0 through *2.8 for instructions on completing the Names dialogs. After you are familiar with the program you may wish to delete some records and compress the file, or remove it altogether and rely on the <Help> facility. However, please retain a copy of the complete data file for reference. (The <Help> file is for version 1.4 and is overdue for revision. If the documentation and help file disagree, the documentation is correct.)
