Wordz demo disc readme file
===========================
To use this demonstration copy of Wordz you
will need 2MB of memory. Both this and the real
version of Wordz will run more easily if you have
RISC OS 3. If you have RISC OS 2 please read the
notes below.
RISC OS 2 users
===============
To start Wordz you will need to provide:
SharedClibrary 3.75
FPEmulator 2.70
Colourtrans 0.52
Fontmanager 2.44
Printer driver 2.44
You will also need a copy of the Squash module
in your !System.modules directory. This is
provided on this disc in Modules.Squash.
Starting Wordz
==============
To start Wordz, double-click on the !Wordz
application.
Demotext provides a tutorial to help you get
into Wordz: once Wordz is on your icon bar,
double-click Demotext to load this, and follow
the instructions therein.
On the disc are some files from the Wordz examples
disc for you to explore to help you get an idea
of what Wordz can do.
About the demo version
======================
The demo version is different from the real version
of Wordz: it does not save files, will not print
and the spelling checker is disabled.
Real Wordz also has our dynamic linking system which
loads objects when required: so it starts up in
rather less memory than the demo version; about
700k in fact, leaving you more space for documents.
Things being what they are, the demo version
usually lags behind the main version in version number
and features: if you have a specific query about
something it's as well to check with us first since
we may well have improved or altered the real version.
