The enclosed utilities spreadsheet may be of interest to one or two of
your subscribers. Its a file I produced as an exercise to try out the
PipeDream spreadsheet when I first bought the package.
It gives an ongoing account of usage and cost of Electricity and Gas
used from day to day by just entering the present meter readings. The
all important line is number 41. This obviously needs to be changed at
the end of a month to the exact number of days in that month. The
formula, day(today), then has to be entered into the next month's
column, together with the previous month's meter readings. For most
domestic users there will only be one electricity meter to read and the
spreadsheet can be adjusted accordingly. The prices shown are correct,
at time of writing, for my own area which is Eastern Electricity and
British Gas Southern. These prices would need to be checked for other
areas. The spreadsheet will fit neatly onto A4 size paper using
condensed cpi 17 pitch.
