In this directory you will find examples of two kinds of function key
strip. They are Keystrip8 and Keystrip16.
Keystrip8 gives four rows of key definitions corresponding to the
normal Fkeys and to these keys in conjunction with SHIFT, CONTROL and
SHIFT/CONTROL. It provides spaces for 13 keys in each row, i.e. it also
uses the Print key as F0. For each key definition up to 8 characters
are allowed. This may well mean that the full definition cannot be
shown. The number and sizes of the cells are as follows:
7+4*8+4+4*8+4+5*8+2
The font is Corpus Medium 10*12
Under File - Options Grid is on
On my Epson FX80 I have to print in Landscape
The Print Scale is set to 107%PC%
Page layout has line spacing of 1
Top margin is 3 (if you set more you can trim it off later)
All other margins 0
The total length of the strip is 290mm. Therefore the page length of
the PrinterDM menu must be at least this and the 297mm of A4 is OK.
However I think it would be tricky arranging to get it on A4. I use
continuous paper which avoids the problem. Set all margins of PrinterDM
to 0. (This may not be necessary but it works).
The example will have to be altered to individual requirements. When
making the alterations have wrap off.
Keystrip16 gives three rows of definitions just like the strip for
Pipedream 3. Here the boxes have had to be set up using the underline
character and the control character. The number and sizes of the cells
are as follows:- 14+4*16+8+4*16+8+4*16+2
The font is Trinity Medium 12*12
Under File - Options Grid is off
Print in Landscape
The Print Scale is set to 54%PC%
Other settings as for Keystrip8
I hope these suggestions will be of help to someone.
