  1. These files include the original MiniNEC plus MiniNEC3, the last public
  2. domain version. Note that commercial versions of MiniNEC3 are
  3. available. These include most or all of MiniNEC features, and are
  4. designed for easy use.

  6. A new version of MiniNEC is now available commercially. This is based
  7. on a different formulation of segment currents, to eliminate the
  8. "offset" problem of MiniNEC: in particular, this causes the minimum
  9. backlobe of a Yagi antenna to occur at too low a frequency by a few %.

  11. For most antenna problems, MiniNEC3 gives acceptable accuracy, and is
  12. much easier to use than NEC or the ThinWire programs.
