An interesting notice
*********************
Super Foul Egg cannot be distributed for profit (that is, on coverdisks or
CD-ROMs) until June 1st 1996. We, the mighty beings of AMIGA POWER, have
secured a deal with Impact, and hold exclusive mag distribution rights until
that special date. So, hey, if this is on a non-AP coverdisk and you can
read these lines, ho boy are you in trouble.

SUPER FOUL EGG
1.)The Game:
Super Foul Egg (SFE) is basically a conversion of Super Puyo Puyo of the
SNES. The basic idea is similar to Tertris in that you want to try to get
rid of your globs by getting at least four like globs adjacent to each
other. However, they don't have to be in a line. After eliminating a set
of eggs, a certain number of rocks fall on your opponents screen. The
eggs can't bond with these rocks. The only way to get rid of them is to
have them adjacent to a set of eggs when you eliminate them. The person
whose board fills up first loses.
2.)Hard Drive Intallation:
step1: copy SFE,Readme, and the data drawer to the drawer where you
want the game located.
step2: open a shell
step3: type <ed s:startup-sequence>
step3: near the bottom of the sequence create a new line
step4: type <assign sfe: <where you have the game on your hard
drive>>
step5: save and exit ed
step6: reboot and enjoy.
*Note: If you are playing the game without a startup-sequence, type
<assign sfe: <where you have the game on your HD>> before
executing the file
3.)The Main Menu:
The menu system is set up as a bunch of boxes that the player simply
needs to check off, using the pointer. Each "section" of the menu
represents a different option. To select an option, simply move the
pointer over the box next to the option you want, and check it.
Controlling the pointer:

arrow right : right : right arrow key
arrow down : down : down arrow key
arrow up : up : up arrow key

The Options:
=-=-=-=-=-=-
A.) Number of Players
-2 Players: you versus another human opponent
-1 Player: you versus the computer
-Practice: you by yourself
B.) Computer Level
(If you're playing a 1 player game, these options affect how well
the computer will play against you)
-Crap: The not-so-good computer opponent
-Good: The really-quite-good computer opponent
C.) Drop
-Manual: This means that to drop a piece, the player must hold down
the drop key to keep the piece dropping. If the key is
released, the piece will resume normal speed.
-Auto: The player simply presses the key once and the piece will
drop to the bottom of the screen until it hits something.
D.) Rocks
-Simply click on the up or down arrows to add or subtract rocks.
This represents the number of layers of rocks that will initially
appear on each player's screen for every game.
E.) Random
-If this box is checked then a random number of layers of rocks
between 1 and the number of layers that you had selected in part
<D.> will appear on each player's screen for every game. If it is
unselected, then the number of layers specified in part <D.> will
always appear.
F.) Speed
-Click on the left and right arrows to adjust the speed at which
the pieces will fall. The further the bar is to the right, the
faster they'll fall.
G.) Colors
-Click on either the box next to the 4, 5, or 6 colored eggs. This
selects the number of different colored eggs that will appear on
the screen at once.
H.) Keys
-Click on the box with a letter in it representing the keypress you
would like to change. You will then be prompted to enter a new
key for that control. The input column represents how you wish to
control the game: either by the specified keys, or by the
joystick. Simply click on the pictures to cycle through the
control methods.
I.) Best Of...
(The games are played in sets. The first person to win the most
games in a particular set, wins that set.)
-3 Games: Player must win 2 out of 3 to win
-5 Games: Player must win 3 out of 5 to win
