Hello, why do I always seem to do these docs bits at two
in the morning ?. Nevermind, on with the important bit.
Mr. & Mrs. was written specifically for a magazine cover
and the restraints of using as little disk space as
possible, hence the rather limited number of graphics, and
appaling sound effects. (If you ever wanted a cross between
a spectrum and an ST, look no further.) Still, if you can
bear with the surface defects you will, I hope, find a game
full of problems and puzzles, with 450 screens to map and
seven worlds to explore, there should be enough in there to
keep you occupied for a few evenings.
Mr. & Mrs. is a two player platform game for one. The best
scenario I could muster for the game goes as follows:
SCENARIO:
When you look into the sky at night, you can see hundreds
and thousands of stars. It is not hard to imagine that in
all the gaps are more stars, coloured stars, some pink,
some violet, and now and again a green one. Around these odd
stars there probably sit tiny different worlds full of
people looking up into the sky and wondering the same
thoughts as you.
On such a planet there was general commotion. There had
been a fitness epidemic on the planet. All the blueman
beings had exercised themselves so much that the oxygen
supply had almost runout.
In the early days when the planet had no atmosphere the
blueman race developed in caves beneath the surface. Slowly
they had developed a complete world with woods, deserts,
castles, factories etc. The surface steadly began to evolve
plants, and the atmosphere grew.
It was the famous Rizla Glumbus who in Dork 27vii
discovered 'THE SURFACE'. His voyage of discovery is a very
different story, but I digress.
Soon bluemans emigrated up into the fresh clean air and
stopped working in the oxygen factories. They let the plants
do all the work. The whole race became lazy and happy, and
the 'OLD WORLD' was abandoned and forgotten.
Strange creatures evolved from the bluemans pets that got
left, forgotten, below. Mutated by the the ill air that was
no longer kept so crystal by the factories, they lost all
soppyness and wandered around, ruthlessly looking for food.
It was inevitable that one creature should predominate in
the vile 'you scratch my back, I'll eat yours' enviroment.
Oddly enough it was a descendant of a parrot that rose to
that position. (I never did trust them.)
Meanwhile ....
Things went well on 'THE SURFACE' for about 14 Great Dorks
until, 'THE BLUE' struck. People every where began to
exercise. It was contegious to, why just in order to talk to
somebody you would have to run with them, and so it went on.
People became so involved in their exercise that no body
noticed the plants dying.
Eventually the sky started to fall. The oxygen level sank
and the bluemans slowly started to die of hyperventilation.
The only hope was to return to the 'OLD WORLD'.
However, the mutant parrot was determined to keep power
over his domain and blocked off all the entrances to the 'OLD
WORLD', heavliy guarding each with his underlings.
Bluemankinds only hope was to send Mr. & Mrs. (the renowned
electriction and locksmith snooker players) to light up the
'OLD WORLD' and drive the Giant Mutant Parrot into his
dungeons, by beating him at his own game.
Will they suckseed ?
Will bluemankind be saved ?
Will I get any sleep tonight ?
(Next game, I swear, I'll write the scenario first.)
Yep! Its all up to you.
AIM:
To turn on all the light bulbs then defeated the parrot in
a game of mutant snooker.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mister is the electritian and is the only one who can turn
light bulbs on. Missis is, however, a dabhand at unlocking
doors, provided she has a key of course. Fortunatly all the
keys that were left lying around have died and decomposed to
the bone, so they fit any lock. Unfortunatly they tend to
break on use so each can only be used once.
Further instructions are in the program, together with a
simple trainer mode to practice certain aspects of the
combined usage of two characters.
MONEY:
This program is shareware, it may be freely distributed by
anyone to anyone. Should anybody feel that the poor, finger
numb programmer deserves anything for his efforts, should
not assume somebodyelse would have sent him a fiver, but
should do so themselves.

CREDITS:
Thanks go to my parents for letting me be, Andy (good luck
in the new job) for constant appraisal and comments, Sout
for occasional tips, DevpakII, DpaintIII and music.
IMPORTANT:
To run this on a A500, without extra memory, you will have
to remove all your peripherals. Sorry for any inconvenience.
