This is a utility for creating a textual disc map of CDs and other filing sytems, which can then be searched for that application that you saw on a CD a long time ago, but cannot remember which one, and do not wish to search your entire collection.
Initially each CD in your collection, and your hard disc should be logged, which can take several minutes. Then you can search the logs with the search routine which is many times faster than searching the CDs themselves.
To use drag a file/directory from the media to be searched to the log window, and decide if it removable or not then click ok. repeat this for all your programme cd's.
To search open the seach window, and enter the text without wildcards, if you enter XXX, the programme will automatically search for *XXX*. Searching a collection of CD's this way is faster than one CD using the normal method.
The removable option should be deselected for internal harddiscs etc so that you can just search your hard disc later if need be.
Due to copyright reasons I have only included two cd files in this distribution, from previous AU cd's.
TIP: load sparkplug/sparkFS and ARCFS before logging a disc, because this will then search the archives.
