  1. 1:Caller Display shows your customer details the
  2. 2:instant the phone rings.

  4. 4:This demonstration shows you what it can do, and
  5. 5:it is also a useful utility in its own right.

  7. 1:The full version includes a small Caller ID unit
  8. 2:which connects to the telephone socket and also
  9. 3:to the computer's serial port. When an incoming
  10. 4:call is received the details appear in a window
  11. 5:just before the telephone rings. For example...

  19. 1:As well as displaying the caller's name and
  20. 2:number it can show the caller's area and 
  21. 3:mark their location on a map of the UK.
  22. 4:You can use this demo version to find place
  23. 5:names and area codes.

  27. 2:over the line by BT (who charge £4 per quarter
  28. 3:for providing the Caller Display service).
  29. 4:Other telecoms companies offer a similar
  30. 5:service.

  33. 2:hard disc. You can easily add new names by
  34. 3:clicking on the Edit button and entering the
  35. 4:new details.

  39. 2:notes file or database record can be opened
  40. 3:when a call is received.

  42. 5:a text file (the Help file in this case).
