THE KRULOS SAGA
Episode 1: The Dark Fortress
In the wake of the destruction of the second Dark Portal,
peace has finally settled over the land of Azeroth. However, all is not as
it seems. In the woods there have been spottings of the remanants of the
Orcish army, and now they have started to become more frequent. The mages
of Dalaran, who helped the Alliance greatly in the Second War, have
felt the presence of a magical illusion over the great forest of Azeroth.
Upon reaching the forest, these mages broke the spell, and revealed that
in the middle of the woods there stands a huge fortress, known as the city
of Naxael. Naxael, located at the mouth of the River Qel Droma, appears to
be large, but new, as if it was all built in the period of a few days. The
apparant creator of the illusion, a Death Knight who from our reports is
know as Lord Krulos, rules over this new orcish upsurgence.
What disturbs king Terenas more is the fact that the remanants of several
Orcish clans, at least five or six, have united at this camp.
A chance of a quick direct victory over Naxael is slim, due to the
immense ammount of troops and towers watching over it. Our own men are tired
in the wake of destroying the Great Portal. In order to destroy
this city, we must stop its allied camps from supplying it. The war to stop
the Dark Wizard Krulos and his army has begun.
Battle 1: Assault from the Valley
Scouts have reported an Orcish strike force coming south through the
mountains to the North of New StormWind. We expect that they will strike at
the nearby villages of New StormWind if they are not stopped. We have located
their camp in the mountains and are placing you in command of our defensive
troops. You are to destroy the strike force at all costs and buy us time to
begin our counter-offensive.
Battle 2: The camp at Northshire River
One of the main supply lines for troops and lumber to Naxael comes
from an Orcish camp near Northshire abby, off of the river. We have set up
a camp on the other side of the river, and we now require you to launch a
strike against their emcampment. The camp will have most of the structures
you will require for a quick and decisive victory. Use the Oil you have been
given sparingly, without a navy victory will be difficult.
Battle 3: The Island of Lenoh
Before our strike at Naxael, we must take out their main supply of
oil, the island of Lenoh, which is located next to one of the largest
supplies of oil the Alliance has ever seen. With this isle revealed by the
breaking of Krulos' enchantment, it is now visible to human eyes. The
Alliance has set up a camp to the south-east of the isle. We had to assemble
the camp rather quickly, so you will only have the very basics,
you'll have to construct the rest yourself.
Battle 4: The Strike at Naxael
All your previous work has come up to this, the assault on the city
of Naxael. Our demolition squads have hollowed out several portions of the
forest, enough to make a large emcampment. The nation of Kul Tiras, also
wishing to stop the threat of Naxael after a recent assault on one of their
convoys, has set up a camp opposite ours, along with four of their royal
mages. They await one of our men to signal readiness for the offensive. The
city has double-thick walls, and is protected by a long series of cannon and
guard towers. It is a conglomoration of the efforts of many Orcish clans,
do not expect this to be an easy task. However, last night a Dwarven Squad
managed to place a hole in their wall. Unfortunately, we don't know where,
since the dwarf that escorted the squad died shortly after returning to camp
with the news.
In Episode 2, The Army of Darkness, Krulos escapes across the Azerothian
countryside, and has taken up the task of creating an army of the undead from
the remanants of Naxael.
It is once again up to you to save Azeroth from this threat.
In Episode 3, The Resurrection, Krulos, Master of Necromancy, and his few
surviving minions have taken it upon themselves to do what the unthinkable:
Resurrect Medivh, the Dark Lord who created the first Dark Portal. Krulos
believes that through resurecting the fallen Wizard he can gain his loyalty,
and thus the both of them can create a new Dark Portal, with which they could
conquour many new worlds, and become invincible to all threats...
