Section 1: Whats new?
1.86 (by Hans Guijt, hguijt@inter.nl.net)
--------
Keyfile registration was removed
1.85 (last version by Doug Dyer)
--------
Decimal preferences (0-4) when creating new account
Balances are now custom datatype (can be 100 times larger
than amounts, excluding the decimal fractions even).
New save button on amicheck "you will lose your changes"
prompt.
New date preference format: DD/MM/YY
Many internal changes
1.80:
--------
New GUIFront library integrated. Offers public
screen preferences from GUI Preferences editor.
removed wordwrap from amigaguide document for
os 2.x and 3.0 users (3.1 users should still
have it).
Fixed silly AREXX bug where asking for the account closed
date gave you the opened date :)
1.74:
--------
Some dinky new features such as the new ASLHEIGHT tooltype.
Keyfile system adopted.
On-line context sensitive AmigaGuide help, also main amiga
guide file has been slightly improved with wordwrapping and
more up-to-date documentation.
Full AREXX port. See the section on AREXX in the guide
file as well as the arexx.doc file for a description of
the individual commands
"Edit/apply order" menu item ("burn" in your sort
as the official entered order. This will make the
running balance work for you).
You can now un-do a sort by turning off all options
in the sort panel. I don't know what I was thinking
by preventing this :)
The "amicheck freezes" problem has been identified
and avoided. Edit your GUIFront preferences and
turn on smart refresh (it only occures if you have
simple refresh).
Install scripts and a logical directory structure.
1.60:
--------
Budget groups
All up/down/top/botton list buttons now move the list to
follow the moving item
1.55:
-------
Filter cycle gadget for the template window helps
to reduce clutter for those with large template lists.
Date preferences
Tooltypes for ASL pattern requesters
Improved functionality of quick-dates
Import now no longer tries to update register in real-time
(much faster).
New "save and exit" menu item

Section 2: Known Bugs
Below list bugs that are either AC's fault, a quirk in the user's setup
or the fault of another program. I don't know which in some cases.
* one user has problems with powerdata now and then corrupting the database.
who is at fault and what is going on need to be addressed. According
to the author of powerdata, amicheck has no problems with the program.
I have no idea to date.
* Occasional cosmetic issue with listviews on os2.x.
* MagicCX will crash amicheck if all MagicCX features are turned on, and the
user sorts or filters twice. Not entirely clear on this one either but I have
replicated it.

What is in a name?
-------------------------
It has just recently come to my attention that there was a program years ago
by Jeff Hoag called "Ami-Check". This is a different program, and I appologize
to Mr. Hoag as I did not mean to steal his (IMHO good ;) program name. Therefore
I will be very strict on how I write it: amiCheck.
Thanks for your patronage.
Don't forget to send me your comments/suggestions!
