  1. Physical Examination 
  2. ‚Ä¢ A careful pelvic exam is performed with attention to the ovaries, uterus , bladder and rectum.
  3. ‚Ä¢ The neck, groin and underarms (axilla) are examined for enlarged lymph nodes .
  4. ‚Ä¢ The lungs are carefully examined for excess fluid.
  5. ‚Ä¢ The abdomen is examined for the presence of an enlarged liver, a mass or ascites .

  7. Blood and Other Tests 
  8. ‚Ä¢ Complete blood count (CBC).
  9. ‚Ä¢ Serum liver and kidney function tests.
  10. ‚Ä¢ Serum CA-125.
  11.  
  12. Imaging 
  13. ‚Ä¢ Abdominal and pelvic CT or MRI scans.
  14. ‚Ä¢ X-rays of the upper gastrointestinal tract (UGI series) may occasionally be done.
  15. ‚Ä¢ Intravenous pyelogram (occasionally). 
  16. ‚Ä¢ Barium enema .
  17.
