  8. This is an Amiga PPC port of Marat Fayzullin's Sega MasterSystem/Game Gear
  9. emulator, MasterGear. Some changes had to be made to make it run fast on a
  10. PPC Amiga. And, believe me, it is fast!

  13. After starting MasterGearPPC, a control window appears. Here you can setup
  14. MasterGearPPC. The settings include:
  15.  
  16. ROM name        File name of ROM image to be started
  17. VBlank period   Number of operations between vertical blank interrupts.
  18.                 Should be 8000, change only if display gets distorted.
  19. Update period   Update every nth frame. Defaults to 1, change if emulator
  20.                 gets too slow.
  21. Input           Joystick or CD│▓ gamepad
  22. Auto A          Autofire for button A
  23. Auto B          Autofire for button B
  24. Machine         Machine to be emulated (SMS or GG)
  25. Country         English or Japanese mode
  26. Delay           Delay VRAM reads. Activate to get a bit closer to original
  27.                 machine behaviour.
  28. Save CPU        Set CPUs into Wait status if window is not activated
  29. Save game       Load saved game at beginning and save game status at exit
  30. Display         Window on default PubScreen or custom screen
  31. Screen mode     Mode ID for custom screen

  33. Notes:
  34. - On AGA systems not equipped with a graphics card, install CyberGraphX AGA
  35.   and select a CGXAGA mode.
  36. - To use joystick or gamepad, you need lowlevel.library v40 (OS3.1).
  37.   Otherwise you can only use the keyboard.

  40. Red:            Button A
  41. Blue:           Button B
  42. Green:          Swap buttons a and B
  43. Yellow:         Help
  44. Play/Pause:     Start

  46. From V1.4 on, the settings are saved to PROGDIR:MG.prefs.

  50. You can pack your ROM images with the well-known XPK packers as MasterGearPPC
  51. automatically detects and decrunches XPK files. (Note: Do not pack .sav files,
  52. these are the saved games and MUST NOT be compressed!)

  56. Of course, you need original ROMs to start MasterGear. And NO, I won't give
  57. any ROMs to anyone. Read out your Sega cartridges with a ROM reader or
  58. search the internet or whatever...

  62. Some games use button A as main fire button and some use button B. The buttons
  63. can be swapped by pressing F1. Please notice that your joystick's fire button
  64. is always identical to the CTRL button and SPACE is always the other button.
