Welcome to harry's directory. These files are provided for a few esoteric
purposes:
vmlinux.gz This is a kernel that has been patched to load shared libs
in low memory so that the new ld.so.1 can link with
abolute branches for improved performance.
vmlinux.coff a floppy-bootable version of the vmlinux.gz described above.
MacMiNT_PowerPC_Cross.bin A devlopment environment that allows compiling
linux-pmac on any MacOS platform, even those
that aren't already able to run linux-pmac.
help3.coff a floppy-bootable vmlinux with an auto-root ramdisk image.
Similar to the installer.coff, it drops you into a shell
where you have access to a few tools such as pdisk (with
bootable flag toggling ability), fsck.ext2 (little-endian
only), gzip, tar, mount, vmode, and nvvideo. Note that
you should always pass a -t FSTYPE argument to mount.
ramdisk.image.gz The ramdisk image used by help3.coff
ld.so.1.gz a gzipped image of a new ld.so.1 that has improved speed,
especially when used in conjunction with the vmlinux.gz
described above.
rpm-2.4.tgz a gzipped tar file of rpm 2.4 source tree pre-compiled and
linked with static libraries. Might help solve chicken-egg
problem of installing rpm when rpm is broken.
PCB This is a directory that contains my latest release of
Thomas Nau's free-ware pcb layout program (an X11 based
system). It's pretty cool.
