Blobby2 (v1.1) by David Johnston of ARM'd & Dangerous
--------------------------------------------------------
Updated 19/10/96 for StrongARM compatibility
The game
--------
You must guide Blobby through each of the 8 levels to the flagpole at the
endof the level. The screen constantly scrolls upwards and gets faster as
the level progresses. You have 10 lives and you may lose a life if you
allow yourself to fall off the bottom of the screen or hit an enemy.
There are 3 different types of enemy. There are mutated slinkys that roam
back and forth, flame throwers that launch flames up from the ground and
also rotating flamers that spray flame round in a circular motion.
In order to help you through the level there are 3 different types of power
up.
1 - There are freeze icons that will make the enemies on screen disappear
for a certain amount of time. If you collect one of these icons a bar will
appear on the left-hand side of the screen and slowly decrease. When this
reaches the base of the screen the enemies will reappear.
2 - Hold icons will make the screen stop scrolling for a while.
3 - If you collect a hyper-blobby icon then you will be able to move twice
as fast for the rest of the level.
The keys
--------
Z - Left
X - Right
Return - Jump / Float
Q - Sound off
S - Sound on
When you jump blobby will leap straight up into the air and when he hits
something will start to fall back down. If you hit return while he is
falling back down you will float down slowly enabling you to jump over
slinkys more easily.
ARM 2 machines
--------------
Blobby2 runs slowly on ARM 2 machines with the sound on so if you are using
an ARM 2 machine then switch the sound off whilst playing the game.
